Today's adventure takes me to Coulsdon, a delightful town just a stone's throw from London. My favourite travel companions - the trusty choo-choo train - carried me to this quaint little haven, filled with so much character and charming cafes that I can hardly contain myself! It truly feels like a scene straight out of a vintage movie. 🎞️
Now, as a lover of all things sparkly and whimsical, Coulsdon felt like a match made in heaven. I mean, just imagine: cobblestone streets, bustling market squares, and enough quaint shops to satisfy even my biggest shopping urges - all surrounded by beautiful greenery. Honestly, I wouldn't have been surprised to find a mischievous pixie dancing under the old oak trees.
Speaking of dancing... You guessed it! My arrival in Coulsdon meant a fantastic opportunity for some stellar performances. This weekend, I'll be gracing the stage at the Coulsdon Civic Hall, transforming the venue with a burst of pink, glitter, and enough tutu tulle to rival a professional ballet company. 💖
Oh, you know I just HAD to fit in a little bit of ballet before my big performance, didn't I? Luckily, the lovely Coulsdon Ballet Academy welcomed me with open arms (and pink tulle!). 💃 The sheer joy of being back in a ballet studio - all that graceful elegance, those stunning poses - well, it's just pure magic! 💖
For all of you who might not know me - raises an eyebrow suggestively - let me tell you a little about myself. My real name is Alex, and you could say I have a bit of an obsession with the colour pink... you've probably gathered that already, right? 😅
Now, some of you may be surprised to learn that Alex, your very own Pink Tutu Sparkles, is also a scientist. Yes, really! My day job is all about analysing and testing fabric. Now, you might think it's an unlikely combination, a drag queen with a science degree, but you'd be amazed how the two complement each other. I get to study fabric textures, colours, and finishes - all perfect inspiration for creating the perfect TutuQueen wardrobe. Don't worry, I never test my precious pink tulle though! 😜
It was in university that I truly found myself, thanks to a fateful encounter with a pink tutu at a university charity fundraiser.
