Hello darlings! Pink Tutu Sparkles here, your favourite tutu-tastic traveller and fashionista extraordinaire! 💋✨ It’s Wednesday, and you know what that means… Time for another blog post!
This week I’m waltzing my way to Cambridge, the land of punting, scholars, and (hopefully!) a whole lot of pink! 💖 I’ve been dying to explore this historic city for ages, and now that spring has sprung, the timing just feels perfect! 🌸 Plus, there's a fabulous ballet performance of 'Giselle' at the Cambridge Arts Theatre - you know I can't resist a good twirl! 🩰
As always, my trusty travel companion is packed and ready: my oh-so-chic, feather-boa lined suitcase stuffed with enough sparkly tutus, headbands, and feather boas to dress a whole royal ballet! 👑 After all, I always aim to bring a touch of pink sparkle wherever I go!
Speaking of pink sparkle, I'm still on a high from my recent performances at the Nottingham Fringe Festival! The energy of the crowd was incredible - so much cheering, so much laughter, and best of all - so much glitter! 🤩 My Pink Power set was a smash hit! Who knew a 2-minute tap-dance routine to Britney Spears could create so much excitement? 🥳
I am a huge advocate for "spreading the tutu love" you see, because for me, a tutu is a symbol of pure joy and freedom. It's like wearing a big, fluffy, pink cloud! ☁️ And let's face it, everyone needs a little more sparkle and joy in their lives, right? 🥰
Tutu Train Travels:
But let’s talk about my favourite part of travelling... trains! 🚂 Yes, I love train journeys - the scenery zipping by, the gentle rhythm of the tracks, and the comfy carriage seats, perfect for admiring my outfit and applying a little touch-up lipstick!💄 Speaking of comfy, I did treat myself to a gorgeous, velvet-lined train carriage - my private "Pink Tutu Salon" complete with mirror and lighting perfect for an impromptu costume change! 💅💋
Cambridge - A Royal Dream:
I'm already making plans for some quintessentially Cambridge activities – imagine me, perched on a punt in a stunning tutu, gliding serenely down the river Cam! 🚤 That's definitely going to be a photo-op for the ages. And while we’re talking photo-ops… my little pink sparkly purse has already been overflowing with new outfit ideas! From whimsical tea parties in Cambridge's beautiful gardens to stylish evening cocktails, I'll be adding a splash of colour everywhere I go! 💖

So many of you have been asking me, "Alex, how do you stay so positive and motivated?" Well, the truth is, I’m inspired by life! Every day brings new experiences, new people, and new reasons to put on my favourite tutu and let my inner sparkle shine! 🤩 I hope my blog posts inspire you all to find that spark within yourselves too - it's out there, waiting to be unleashed!
My Tutu Journey:
Some of you might know that my drag journey began a little differently – it was back in university, studying science. Yes, you heard me right - science! I was studying fabric testing actually, so all this sparkle really is a bit of a 180-degree change! 😄 But deep down, I’ve always been a lover of the arts, and after joining the university ballet club, everything clicked! 🩰 I was dared to try on a tutu for charity - one bright pink and fluffy masterpiece – and let’s just say I was hooked! From that moment, the tutu magic began! 💖 I never imagined I'd become a travelling, tutu-wearing drag queen – it just shows you, sometimes you have to trust your inner instincts and follow the pink path! 😉
Pink Tutu Dreams:
In fact, one of my biggest dreams is to spread the tutu love to the world! Imagine every street corner buzzing with twirling tutus – the world needs more colour, more joy, and more pink sparkle, wouldn't you agree? 🌟 So I challenge you to join me in the pink tutu revolution - find a tutu that makes you feel confident and happy, put it on, twirl, and spread the magic!
I know some of you are probably thinking, "I could never wear a tutu!" But I encourage you to challenge yourself! Every single one of us deserves to feel confident and amazing, and what better way to do that than with a little tutu love?! 💗
