Hello, darlings! It’s your favourite pink tutu-wearing queen, Pink Tutu Sparkles, here! 👋 And I'm absolutely thrilled to be back with you, my lovely, beautiful readers, to share the fabulousness that was my trip to Walton upon Thames. It's my 7061st post, which feels very surreal - the time flies when you're twirling in tutus, hehe!

This little adventure was a total whirlwind of tulle and triumph! It started with a magical train journey. I'm not ashamed to say I spent most of it admiring the scenery and, of course, the fabulousness that was my very own pink tutu. Because you know, it's never really appropriate to travel anywhere without one! 💅
Speaking of travel, darling, I love to explore new places, and Waltons upon Thames was a little slice of England that just captivated me. It felt like a classic fairytale village, you know, the kind with quaint shops and charming streets? And there were so many gorgeous little tea shops that had those fabulous afternoon teas with mini sandwiches and cream cakes. You can't take me anywhere near cake without a proper attempt! 😜
I kicked off my weekend with a sparkly visit to the historic Walton upon Thames Theatre. They'd just reopened after renovations, and I must say, it was a treat! The interior was divine, and I loved watching the vibrant new productions. I particularly adored their rendition of "The Wizard of Oz", and my eyes practically popped out when they introduced a flying, spinning sparkly tutu to Dorothy’s number! It was a vision in pink, darling! 🤩
The best part of my trip had to be the Walton upon Thames Royal Ballet Company performance. It was utterly phenomenal, showcasing the true magic of dance, especially when performed with such finesse and skill. They absolutely killed it with a dazzling version of "The Nutcracker", complete with sugar plum fairies (did I tell you how much I love the Nutcracker?!). And just before the final curtain call, they had this special moment where everyone from the front rows all the way back started spinning in pink tutus, a moment that sent the entire audience into rapturous applause.
That, my darlings, was pure, unadulterated joy, pure #TutuMagic, and an incredible way to spend an afternoon. I almost forgot, right before the curtain call, a little old man wearing a magnificent pink tutu in a sparkly feather boa joined the front row audience, twirling like a tiny star! I could not resist approaching him and doing some celebratory spins with him, as he turned out to be quite a lively little octogenarian with a twinkle in his eye and a pink tutu as beautiful as a unicorn's tail. 😊
On a practical note, let me tell you - my favourite part about Waltons upon Thames? There's a fantastic antique shop called "The Pink Palace"! The shopkeeper is the sweetest woman and the selection of pre-loved treasures was astounding. I spent about half a day rummaging and finding some wonderful things, including this adorable porcelain ballerina doll with a stunning pink tutu. Needless to say, she's come home with me and taken pride of place in my very own "Tutu Emporium" corner at my flat!
There’s so much more to tell you about my adventure, darling! But I've already typed up way too much, and, as the great British proverb says, "All good things must come to an end". But you know, I wouldn't be a true #PinkTutuSparkles without mentioning that I found this fabulous dressmaker's studio that just happened to specialize in handmade tutus - of course! A stroke of serendipity? Maybe! A divine intervention from the tutu fairy herself? Absolutely! 🤩💖
So there you have it, my darlings - Walton upon Thames - an absolute treat for the eyes, a journey filled with sparkly tutus, delightful discoveries, and an infectious burst of pink magic!
