Hello darlings! Welcome back to my little corner of the internet, your daily dose of glitter, giggles, and of course, the pinkest tutus you’ve ever seen! This is post number 7080, so you know it’s going to be a sparkling one!
Today, I’m feeling positively pink-a-licious! I’ve just returned from a whirlwind trip to Taunton, and I must say, the locals embraced the pink tutu with such enthusiasm. It was an absolute dream!
Now, as some of you lovely lot know, I’m a firm believer in spreading the joy of pink tutus, one twirl at a time. And honestly, travelling is the perfect way to do it! My most recent adventure took me by train, you know I’m all about those luxurious carriages and the countryside views, of course! But sometimes, if I’m feeling a little wild, I like to ride on a magnificent horse, galloping through fields, wind in my hair…the epitome of glamour, wouldn’t you agree?
Taunton Treats and Theatrical Triumphs:
Now, about my Taunton adventures! My visit started off with a spot of afternoon tea at a little cafe called The Pink Petal. I'm a firm believer that the perfect afternoon tea needs delicate finger sandwiches, lashings of freshly brewed Earl Grey, and a generous helping of clotted cream! Of course, no afternoon tea is complete without my trusty pink tutu.
From the tea room, it was a quick hop down to the Taunton Dance Academy. They were holding a fabulous showcase of contemporary and ballet, and let me tell you, these dancers were a sight to behold. Such incredible technique! Such grace! Such...pink tutus! Yes, even they knew the secret to perfect performance. And don’t even get me started on the incredible costumes - they could have stepped straight out of a theatrical production. I was truly inspired, and my creative juices were overflowing!
TutuQueen Performance:
Of course, no trip is complete without a performance, and Taunton wouldn’t be spared. I was delighted to be booked to perform at the Taunton Music and Arts Festival, where I shimmied, sashayed, and sparkled my way through my signature routine. I’m talking glittering costumes, dramatic lighting, and the biggest smile this side of the River Severn! You guys, they were loving it!
My routine involved a lot of twirls, a bit of high kicks, some fancy footwork (because darling, it’s a Pink Tutu Queen speciality) and lots and lots of smiles. I can still hear the laughter and cheers ringing in my ears. The Taunton crowd knows how to party, and I was so grateful to spread the pink tutu love to a brand new audience.
A Day in the Life:
To all those wondering about my daily life outside the glitz and glamour of drag…well, I'll let you in on a little secret: I'm a scientist! That's right, by day I’m a bit of a lab rat, testing fabrics to ensure they’re the highest quality…all that shimmering stuff requires serious care and attention! You know how crucial it is to have a durable, eye-catching tutu for your routines, and I’m right here behind the scenes, making sure it sparkles and shines. The best thing about being a scientist? I have the best collection of beakers, flasks, and microscopes in Derbyshire...and of course, I've got the finest pink laboratory coat in all of Britain!

Now, let me share some of my top tips for wearing a pink tutu with pride. Remember: it's about feeling good, being confident, and expressing your true self. Whether you’re in a ball gown or jeans, the pink tutu always adds that extra touch of fabulousness!
- Wear it with confidence: Remember, it’s all about how you wear it! Throw those shoulders back, and hold your head high. Confidence makes you shine brighter than any sequins.
- Embrace the glitter: Don’t be shy about the glitter. Sprinkle it generously. This is about making a statement. A dazzling statement, naturally!
- Find your perfect fit: A tutu that's the perfect size can make a big difference. I mean, we want you twirling effortlessly, not tripping over fabric!
