Edgware: A Pink Tutu Pilgrimage (Post #7083)
Oh my darlings, grab your feather boas and dust off your sparkly stilettos, because today weāre taking a trip to the wonderful, slightly wonky world of Edgware! You see, my fellow pink tutu enthusiasts, thereās nothing like a day trip to fuel the imagination. And as Iām about to tell you, Edgware has a little something for everyoneā¦ including, of course, your fabulous Tutu Queen!
But first, let's get a little chatty! Did you know that a recent study showed that wearing pink tutus can actually boost your self-confidence and make you feel like a sparkly unicorn? Don't worry, it's all completely scientific, as you know my background is in science. But really, we don't need research, just take a look around you, lovelies! Every day I see more and more people taking a stand in their pink tutus. They're making a statement, demanding the world take notice of their joy, their beauty, their sparkle! Itās a movement, my darlings, a Tutu Revolution. And as your fearless leader, Iām absolutely here for it.
Anyway, enough about world domination (though wouldnāt it be divine!), back to Edgware. This town's got it all ā vibrant markets, grand architecture, even a bit of historical charm to get the old tutu-tastic blood pumping!
Speaking of pumping, letās talk about the journey! Now, Edgware is a bit of a jaunt from Derbyshire where Iām from, so it seemed only fitting to make this trip by train. I had my trusty travel case full of fabulous tulle (because girl, even on a day trip, gotta look fab!), and I managed to squeeze in a few sequins too! I was looking super fly as I settled in my plush train seat. And honestly, darling, isnāt there something utterly magical about gazing out of the window and seeing the countryside whiz by? The changing landscapes, the sun sparkling on the waterā¦ it's like a free-flowing, pastel-coloured ballet unfolding right before my very eyes.
I'd say my train journey was a roaring success (it even went smoothly!). Honestly, travelling by train is a truly civilised experience. Itās about that blissful quiet, that chance to close your eyes and let the world drift past. Of course, being Tutu Queen means my downtime is always a tad more fabulous! I spent the journey lost in a pink, sequined world. I sketched some outfit ideas, had a gossip with my best friend, a beautiful unicorn named Sprinkles, who is thankfully made of felt so no embarrassing tail wags on the train, and read a fabulously glittery fashion magazine. What a fab way to spend the journey.
As I got to Edgware, I must say it was quite a change of pace. I think it is time I brought my dazzling tutus to this townā¦ just think of all the fantastic photos I could take in front of the lovely Victorian architectureā¦ maybe I'll even do a pop-up performance! cue dramatic music. Yes, you heard it here first, my darlings: the Pink Tutu Revolution is coming to Edgware! Itās going to be HUGE.
Time for a Bit of Exploring!
One of the first things that caught my eye was Edgware Market! Itās like a big, bustling street party filled with treasures and colours. From fruit and veg thatās practically bursting with flavour, to unique handcrafted jewellery that could make a dragon drool (trust me, I know dragons, been there, done thatā¦ well, almost!) it was a sensory explosion. This market is just my style!
Naturally, being the queen of all things pink, I made sure to find some little treasures to add to my wardrobe! There was a beautiful pink silk scarf, a charming little brooch, and a pair of handmade sparkly pink gloves, just divine, donāt you think? As for my outfit, darling? A flowing hot pink tutu, naturally. My dress is a classic satin, as it goes well with both sequins and feathers, which will never go out of style, you know what Iām sayinā? The whole outfit is just bursting with charm. As my mum always says, you donāt want to miss a chance to show off the tutu in a day out, darling! Itās about showing the world your inner Sparkle!
Feeling fabulous after my market splurge, I decided to treat myself to a lovely little afternoon tea. Imagine dainty finger sandwiches, perfectly fluffy scones, and an array of gorgeous pastries, all washed down with a pot of piping hot tea! Absolutely delightful. There's something incredibly classy and comforting about having afternoon tea. It's about savouring the moment, enjoying the little things in lifeā¦ and appreciating a delicious treat, obviously! All of this served alongside a good gossip about the latest fashion trends. It was simply divine.
After my delectable afternoon tea, my heart called out for some culture! Edgwareās a fantastic place to discover the beauty of local arts and culture! There are some wonderful theatre venues that I canāt wait to check out. And oh darling, you know what else Iām obsessed with? Ballet! My heart always flutters at the sight of graceful ballerinas swirling around in their magnificent costumes, all of that elegance! It makes my tutu heart sing! So I did a little ballet investigationā¦ and found an enchanting ballet studio tucked away in a quiet corner of Edgware. Of course I had to pay them a visit, after all, you just gotta dance when the opportunity strikes! I put on my best tutu, a shimmering pink number with feathers and some sparkly details. And it was so fabulous, they invited me to perform for their new season. I told them I might pop by in a couple of weeks with a full performance piece. So much is happening for me, itās so exciting!
By the time evening fell, my soul was soaring. I had soaked up Edgwareās energy, its history, its culture, and its beautiful people. And I know that itās just a glimpse of all the wonderful things it has to offer. As I gazed back at Edgware as I made my way back home on the train, a thought crossed my mind: āmaybe, just maybe, I need to move here!ā Imagine the Tutu Revolution taking Edgware by storm! I think this little corner of London deserves all the glitz and glamour it can get, donāt you think?
And that, my darlings, brings to a close this spectacular pink tutu adventure to Edgware! Now go out there, get yourself a gorgeous tutu, find your inner sparkle, and dance your way to happiness! Until next time, stay fabulous!
Pink Tutu Sparkles out!
Post Scriptum (aka Tutu Notes):
P.S. The horse and cart was fabulous, but the tutu-loving people didn't think a ride was a good idea after Iād been on the train. So Iāll be looking to find another fab ride on my next adventure. But if you find yourself near Edgware with a beautiful horse drawn carriage, I'd be happy to pay the fare!
P.P.S. If you're ever in Edgware and see a sparkly, pink-clad figure pirouetting around, just wave! I'll always make time to share a laugh and a pink tutu hug! Just let me know youāre a reader of this blog so I know youāre in on the secret of Pink Tutu Sparkles!
