Hello my darling darlings! 💖 It's Pink Tutu Sparkles here, and guess what? I'm off on another fabulous adventure, this time to the lovely town of Fareham! You see, when I'm not dazzling audiences in my pink tutu, I'm busy being a bona fide travel enthusiast. It's not every day a scientist can double as a dazzling drag queen, is it?
Now, you might be thinking, "Fareham? What's so exciting about Fareham?" Well, darlings, I'm all about finding the beauty in the unexpected! It's about discovering hidden gems and giving them a sprinkle of pink tutu magic! And Fareham, you see, is a little bit of a blank canvas, waiting for a splash of colour - a dash of sparkly tutu brilliance.
Let me tell you, my journey to Fareham was positively delightful. A delightful train journey, that is. I adore those quaint carriage journeys. Imagine, you're on the train, you've got a steaming hot cuppa, a biscuit, and you're looking out the window as the world zips by - sheer perfection. 🚂☕
Of course, I didn't go to Fareham without a fabulous outfit! It's all in the details, darlings! I’d carefully chosen a vibrant hot pink tutu, it had a layer of shimmering pink sequins, a sparkly tulle top and pink feather boas with a pair of silver platform heels, a matching bag and a statement pink bow. Naturally, my hair was a swirl of hot pink curls. You could say it was a very Pink Tutu Sparkles look! 💖
Arriving at Fareham was such a thrill, I was delighted with all the friendly people greeting me. It's lovely to be surrounded by people with infectious smiles - it's contagious! Speaking of friendly smiles, have you heard about Fareham’s annual Summer Fun Day? It’s an absolute delight! So much music, delicious food stalls and the kindest, friendliest folks, and, oh my goodness, all the little ones are just adorable! I thought about taking them all for a ride on the bouncy castle, I do love a bouncy castle, especially when it's decorated with fluffy pink balloons and sparkly fairy lights, don't you? 🥰
The energy in Fareham was vibrant and uplifting! I even popped into this fabulous independent clothing store called The Vintage Boutique – it was chock-full of treasures! Vintage and unique items, from dazzling frocks to elegant hats and a hatbox filled with a gorgeous selection of fabulous gloves and feather boas. I snagged a fantastic new boa to match my pink feather ones - the perfect addition to my costume collection. 💖
It was then time for a bit of ballet inspiration. Now, it's no secret I absolutely adore ballet - and you know what they say about practice, "If you don’t use it, you lose it!" Right? So I made my way to Fareham Dance School - such a gorgeous venue. They had so much space, and I simply couldn’t resist a quick twirl on the ballet barre – just to warm up my tutu muscles. 🩰
Afterwards, I stopped for a spot of afternoon tea - the cucumber sandwiches were heavenly! And, of course, I couldn't resist the raspberry cake - oh my goodness! Absolutely heavenly! They served it with fresh strawberries and raspberries on the side and whipped cream. Delicious! 💖🍓
It was now time to prep for my drag show at the local pub, the Fareham Arms. This was no ordinary pub – it had an old-fashioned atmosphere and lovely décor, with little fireplaces, leather armchairs and friendly staff - just perfect. I think I may just have to try a few more pub gigs. The best part was, they’d agreed to host a fundraising evening to help my little Pink Tutu campaign to donate to the local community charity, 'Fareham Community Support Group’. I thought a ‘Pink Tutu fundraising evening' was quite a cute and clever idea. A perfect blend of sparkle and charity. 🥰
The night went off with a bang, and the audience loved it. We raised an absolute fortune for the charity and everyone had such a fantastic time. They all had pink tutus on, a mixture of men and women, so fab. The venue even got involved, with the staff getting involved by wearing their own tutus! 💖
Fareham truly showed me the warmth and kindness of its residents - I mean, the generosity was fantastic! The local businesses even donated to the charity in honour of the Pink Tutu event – what a lovely community! 💖
Fareham, you were truly unforgettable! It’s lovely to know the magic of tutus can bring people together, a real testament to the kindness of others. Until next time my darling darlings!
