Herne Bay: Tutu Travels Take Me To The Seaside! 💖

Hello darlings, and welcome back to Pink-Tutu.com, your daily dose of all things fabulous! This is your Tutu Queen, Pink Tutu Sparkles, signing in from the delightful seaside town of Herne Bay, Kent, for post number 7145! It's been an absolute whirlwind of a journey, so grab your fanciest pink tutu, a cup of tea, and prepare to be whisked away!

It's been a while since I last graced the shores of the South East - my last adventure was a memorable time at the Brighton Fringe, where I almost fell in love with a cheeky little lobster at the fish market... it wasn't his charm, but his impressive display of crustacean moves in his little tank, it was something else!

Anyways, enough about the Brighton lobster, let's get back to my delightful journey to Herne Bay! Now, for those of you who aren't in the know, Herne Bay is a little seaside gem tucked away on the Kent coast, and let me tell you, it's got a real old-school seaside charm. Think sandy beaches, candy floss, and oh, so much fish and chips! I arrived by train, of course, as that's my preferred mode of travel (it's a little bit less stressful than navigating London traffic!), and the journey itself was a total delight. The view from the carriage window was absolutely stunning, the countryside scenery whizzing by in a beautiful blur of green and blue. It just soothed my soul.

Speaking of soul soothing, upon arrival in Herne Bay, I immediately took a stroll along the beautiful pier, with the cool sea breeze blowing through my (slightly sparkly!) hair and the smell of saltwater mingling with the air. It was pure magic. My fabulous pink tutu twirled with glee in the gentle wind! I was immediately filled with inspiration. Oh darling, you know this is when I get my creative juices flowing and the thoughts for my new stage show just started pouring in! You know I like to get inspiration from everywhere. Nature, my lovely, I salute you!

Now, the real reason for my trip? It was the chance to be a part of the Herne Bay Festival, a whole week of music, theatre, dance, and laughter! My performances were a part of the "Pride & Joy" events that are always so well attended by everyone who likes a touch of glitz and glamour! You all know that Pink Tutu Sparkles does love a good, old-fashioned cabaret act, and I'm so glad the audience loved it too! You know that this Tutu Queen loves a little improvisation too! Oh, the stories they could tell you! Well, we'll have to wait until another post!

But before we go, we're not just all about the shows here at Pink-Tutu.com! Of course, I had to find time to explore Herne Bay. This little seaside town was so welcoming to my pink tutu! You know that I just adore being surrounded by such beautiful people and fabulous seaside vibes! I had the best time exploring the quirky little shops that line the promenade. You just know I snagged a new pair of shoes, you wouldn’t catch me in the same pair for two days running. Of course, I bought a rather lovely pair of bright pink, feathered, glittery headbands from a boutique that would even make a feather boa swoon.

Speaking of fashion, have you ever tried on a vintage gown from a seaside shop? Don’t worry if you haven’t - I’ll be doing a separate post soon, all about my fabulous find in a delightful vintage dress shop tucked away in a side street off the promenade.

And did I tell you that I finally had the chance to visit the local ballet school, "Twirl and Dance" ? As soon as I walked into the beautiful dance studio, it was just as if someone had clicked their ruby red shoes and whisked me away to another world. These young ballet dancers had the talent and passion to light up the entire world! It's so refreshing to see such dedication, even from the youngest ballerinas - and my Tutu Queen heart absolutely adored being able to take a few class moments and give some tips to these wonderful budding ballerinas! It’s all about sharing the knowledge and love! You’ll just have to check back here soon, for photos from our class! We had a wonderful time!

The local tea rooms were absolutely charming! I treated myself to a delightful slice of Victoria Sponge Cake - a traditional favourite, of course! You have to indulge when the weather’s so beautiful. There was no time for tea this trip as I wanted to maximise the time spent exploring and seeing all the fabulous local sights.

All in all, my journey to Herne Bay was an absolute joy - so much laughter, so much dancing, and a real chance to immerse myself in the vibrant energy of this wonderful seaside town!

Now, I've got a whole new list of fabulous spots to visit on my next journey. Of course, there’s always new places to visit on the road, even with a full pink tutu schedule - I just can't seem to resist. My little drag suitcase has had a few serious upgrades, thanks to a new, totally pink Louis Vuitton! You’ve got to love it! You wouldn’t want your Tutu Queen travelling in anything less!

Of course, I couldn’t leave out a few details for the curious amongst you. I was even blessed with a surprise visit by an old friend from Derby, we went on an exciting little ride - just she and me, in her horse drawn carriage! It's safe to say that this horse was even more swooned by my sparkly pink tutu! He really loved me, and I really loved him, for being such a fabulous gent!

But I shall leave you with that image. Just imagine - a lovely horse carriage, me in a pink tutu, sparkling sequins reflecting on his majestic flanks!

Remember to visit Pink-Tutu.com, to be dazzled by the most fabulous Pink Tutu adventures from my adventures across the UK and abroad.

Until next time, darling, I hope you’ll stay safe, stay sparkling, and don’t forget to spread that Tutu love to everyone! Stay beautiful! 💖

Your Pink Tutu Queen!

PS I just couldn't resist adding these pics, from my visit to the beautiful little museum and a look at the most beautiful, vibrant flower gardens that Herne Bay has to offer! Oh, and do take a look at the most fabulous "pinkest" vintage finds I found at the seaside shops. The owner even called my Tutu fabulous - what’s better than that?
