Blyth, You Beautiful Place - Blog Post #7152

Hello darlings! It's your favourite pink tutu wearing queen, Pink Tutu Sparkles, here, ready to bring some sparkle to your day!

Today, we're taking a trip to the lovely seaside town of Blyth! Now, let me tell you, getting there was half the fun. I've always had a thing for travelling by train. There's just something about the gentle rumble and the rush of wind past the window that gets me in the mood for adventure. This time, I was in luck, because I was gifted a ride on a real-life carriage drawn by a handsome chestnut horse. You see, darling, sometimes you just have to be bold and ask for what you want - and that's what I did! I asked if anyone could take me there, and this lovely woman, the most stylish equestrian I've ever seen, offered her carriage. We had the most delightful chat about all things pink, and by the end, I'd convinced her to get a little pink in her life! Now, isn't that what it's all about?

But let's talk Blyth! It was a real visual treat. I have to say, they seem to have taken their cue from me, because there was pink everywhere. From the adorable pastel shops to the beach huts painted in every shade imaginable. My heart was soaring.

The thing I love about these seaside towns, darling, is the air! It's salty and fresh and you just feel alive. And that air made me crave the ballet! Luckily, Blyth has a rather delightful little theatre with a schedule packed with shows. I can’t divulge any details – I’m trying to stay mysterious - but let me just say, it was spectacular. They put on a wonderful performance. I even joined in with a local class. Those talented, beautiful, young ladies made me feel so proud, just for a little while, to be back in a pink tutu and twirling around with grace (I hope). You know I’m all about empowering young people, especially with a pink tutu. I want every young girl to know that they can achieve their dreams, whether it’s ballet, acting, becoming a scientist… you name it!

Of course, no trip to Blyth is complete without a visit to the beach. Now, darling, I wasn’t going to get all sand on my beautiful new pink tulle tutu, so I put on my sparkly trainers and took a stroll along the promenade. It’s the best place to watch the waves, the birds, and all the colourful people - from tourists like me to the local fishermen. You can feel the history, and that just gives me the most inspiring chills. I can feel those little creative sparks start popping!

Blyth is truly a hidden gem! It was just the kind of place I needed to fuel my creative spirit, and I felt that burst of inspiration that I knew I needed for my next amazing dress design.

And you know me darling, once those sparks start flying, I have to indulge my passion for fashion. So, off I went to the most fantastic boutiques, each one more vibrant and unique than the last! It was the perfect chance to treat myself to some lovely pink silk scarves and a stunning pair of ballet shoes. Oh darling, if you think wearing a pink tutu makes you feel fabulous, try a pair of sparkly pink ballet shoes - instant diva! I'm convinced that every shop owner felt the sparkle and charm that Pink Tutu Sparkles radiates - it’s infectious you see. And don’t even get me started on the fabulous charity shop - I got myself a beautiful vintage pink satin ribbon! A real bargain, it was just screaming out for me!

And speaking of giving back, I met some fantastic locals and ended up performing my "Sparkle Queen" set for a fundraiser! Honestly, it’s so rewarding to bring joy to others with my pink tutu. It makes it all worthwhile! We've got to look out for each other, right, darling?

Now, after all that excitement, I'm craving some seaside delights, you know? And luckily for me, Blyth has got me covered! I devoured the most delectable fish and chips, washed down with a pint of real ale. What can I say, even queens like their indulgences. Now, those fish and chips – perfectly fried and crispy - they gave me an idea for my next performance, perhaps I’ll make some sparkling fishnet leggings... I've already sketched the designs, and it will be my next new creation. You know what, I’ve just got to try and fit this all in - the theatre, the fish, the seagulls – it’s a challenge, and we all love a challenge!

The next day, I made a little pilgrimage to the Blyth War Memorial - just the sight of such dedication made me feel so humble, and so proud to be a part of this country. They put up a commemorative garden to all those that fought in WWI - there were hundreds of colourful poppy flowers. This isn’t something I wanted to photograph. Sometimes, you just need to experience something and not record it, like being with friends or family. Those are the memories that stay in the heart.

It's times like these, with all this beauty around me, that I’m truly grateful for the life I've created for myself. I wouldn’t change a thing.

So, my lovely readers, remember to keep your eyes open for the beauty in everyday life. Don’t forget, we have the power to make the world a little bit brighter. Wear your pink tutus with pride. Spread sparkle wherever you go.

I hope this post inspires you all!

Now go on, find your pink tutu!

Until next time,
