Abingdon Calling! Pink Tutu Sparkles Flies in for a Fab Fair!

Hello darlings, it’s Pink Tutu Sparkles here, your favourite pink tutu-clad drag queen, signing in for my daily dose of fabulousness! Today’s blog is all about my latest escapade - a trip to Abingdon, a charming little town in Oxfordshire. Now, as you all know, I love to travel. Give me a train ticket, a comfy carriage seat, and a killer playlist, and I'm ready to go. This time, I was thrilled to be whisked away to Abingdon for a lively fair.

And did I tell you, my dearest darlings, the trip was a dream? It’s hard to pick the best part! My first excitement, arriving in Abingdon, the train glided through the lush countryside, rolling hills and sheep dotting the landscape - idyllic! Of course, I was resplendent in my pink tulle. A dazzling, floor-length tutu and my signature glittery make-up. You bet! You can’t get Pink Tutu Sparkles anywhere without a tutu, darlings!

The Abingdon fairground, now there’s a sight for sore eyes. Imagine, a kaleidoscope of colours, stalls laden with yummy treats and handcrafted treasures, the sweet smell of candy floss mingling with the sound of happy chatter – truly magical. I simply adored it.

Now, speaking of treats… the fair had everything a girl could wish for. Imagine, cotton candy spun like a ballerina's pirouette, hot dogs sizzling, and all those gorgeous colours swirling before my eyes. A fair’s the perfect setting for a fashionista. There was a stand selling the most amazing pink hats with fluffy feathers. A hat in every shade of pink. How could I resist? I bought three. Pink is my favourite, you see! A few feathers floated around the fair, I hope they land in your lovely hair!

After indulging in all the fun of the fair, it was time to strut my stuff, or rather, spin my tutu. I put on a show in a lovely little hall at the fair. I’ve found that you don’t have to have a giant stage, or even an audience of hundreds, the smiles and laughter make it special!

This performance, darlings, was extra special for two reasons. One, a tiny toddler came up to me with the most sparkling eyes, clutching a little pink ballerina doll. They watched, mesmerized, and even wiggled their toes along. Honestly, I think it was their first experience with a sparkly drag queen! I felt a warmth spread through me like sunshine. I think they’ll be asking their mum for a tutu tomorrow! The second reason was the music. A friend from Derby helped me get my music played on the fairground loudspeaker. They had no idea why I’d requested the music – but when my act started the loudspeaker switched to Tchaikovsky’s Swan Lake! It really got the crowd in the mood and brought out the elegant side of my act. They all cheered and hooted.

So, there you have it, another day, another adventure for your fabulous pink tutu queen. I've learned so much in Abingdon. It's a reminder that even the smallest town can hold big dreams and magical moments, especially when there’s a little bit of pink and lots of sparkles! I've met wonderful people, enjoyed delicious food, and added a few new pink items to my wardrobe! I'm leaving Abingdon with my heart full of joy and my head full of ideas for my next pink tutu adventure! Don't forget to check back tomorrow for more updates on www.pink-tutu.com! This was post #7174, so pop back for more. Love you lots! Pink Tutu Sparkles, out!
