It's October, the leaves are starting to turn all shades of red and orange, and Manchester is calling for me! Oh yes, this weekend I'm heading up north for a dazzling double dose of dancing delight. 💃
From Lab Coat to Stage Lights
Before we dive into the magic of Manchester, let me give you a quick peek behind the sequins. As you know, I lead a double life! By day, I'm a humble (and very, very busy) scientist, putting my lab coat to good use testing fabrics in my Derbyshire lab. Then, come nightfall, I shed the lab coat and embrace the Pink Tutu Sparkles persona! It's a bit of a whirlwind, but it's a life I wouldn't trade for the world.
The Pink Tutu Journey Begins...
I know you love the story of my pink tutu obsession, so here it is again: It all started during my university days, while studying a boring old science degree. Let's be real, who wouldn't need some serious glitter in their life during those long lab sessions?! One day, our uni ballet club was raising money for charity, and they were selling some amazing pre-loved tutus. I saw a beautiful pink one (it was destiny!), tried it on, and well... the rest, as they say, is history! It sparked this crazy, sparkly passion inside me, a passion that led me down this gloriously colourful path to Pink Tutu Sparkles! ✨
Train Travels & Tutu Dreams
And so, off I go to Manchester! I love catching the train, the rhythmic click-clack of the wheels against the track, the charming announcements, the chance to people-watch... and it's the perfect opportunity to wear my finest Pink Tutu outfit, obviously! 😉 You wouldn't believe the joy of a perfectly-timed pink tutu moment on a packed train! It's like a flash of magic, a touch of whimsy, and people's smiles always brighten my day!
Manchester Calling - Ballet Bliss!
So, what awaits in Manchester? First stop, the beautiful Northern Ballet! Oh my goodness, these ballerinas are absolute marvels. Their precision, their grace, their ability to tell stories with every twirl and leap, it's mesmerising. I am a total ballet fanatic, and a true performance by world-class dancers always fills my soul with awe. The tickets were already booked weeks ago, so I'm all prepped up in a pink tutu fit for a queen, ready for a night of pure ballet brilliance.
Pink Tutu Power - Spreading the Love
And here's where things get even more exciting. On the Saturday, I'm holding my very own "Tutu Time!" session in Manchester. It's a workshop for all you gorgeous gals and boys who want to discover the joy of the pink tutu. We'll be having a laugh, learning a few twirls and dips, sharing tips for building the ultimate Pink Tutu look, and, of course, embracing the glorious feeling of wearing a tutu! The tickets for that were snapped up faster than you can say "tut-tut", and I can't wait to see all the faces lit up by the sheer delight of the pink tutu! 💖
The Stage is Calling
No trip to Manchester would be complete without a dazzling performance. So, on the Sunday night, I'll be bringing the pink tutu magic to a fabulous LGBTQ+ club in the city centre! I've got a whole new setlist prepared, filled with sassy tunes and empowering anthems, designed to get you moving and grooving! Get ready for a showstopper of an evening filled with dazzling outfits, energetic dance routines, and enough glitter to sparkle across the entire city! ✨
