Worthing, You Pink Perfection!
Hello my lovelies! This is post number 7234 from your favourite pink tutu queen, Pink Tutu Sparkles (Alex in the real world)! And guess what? I'm off on an adventure once again, and this time I'm headed for the beautiful seaside town of Worthing!
Itās funny how life turns out, isn't it? I mean, who would have thought that a science graduate from Derbyshire, with a passion for pink tutus, would end up travelling the country as a drag artist? Not me! But here I am, rocking my latest custom-made pink tulle confection and boarding the train, feeling like a princess on her way to a ball! (Okay, maybe more like a whimsical, sparkly princess!)
It all started at university. I was (and still am, of course!) a member of the ballet club and was helping out with a fundraising event. Someone (let's call them "kind soul") shoved a pink tutu in my direction and insisted I try it on. Now, I've always loved ballet - and I'd spent a fair bit of my allowance on pink clothing back then - but something about that tutu just clicked. It was so fabulous, so outrageous, so wonderfully unexpected. The moment I twirled in that pink paradise, I knew Iād found my calling!
But back to Worthing! As always, Iāve planned a fab-tastic schedule filled with all the things that make me happy. Of course, no trip would be complete without some ballet! Iāve got tickets to see āSwan Lakeā at the Pavilion Theatre - a must-do for any self-respecting tutu-wearer, right?
Worthing also boasts a lovely ballet school called Dance Worthing, and you better believe Iāll be squeezing in a class or two! Just imagine it - me, with all my pink-tutu glory, joining a bunch of budding young ballerinas! Pure, sparkly magic!
Iāll also be scouring the local boutiques for some more gorgeous pink additions to my wardrobe. After all, you can never have too much pink, can you? I might even find some pink shoes or accessories to go with my existing collection. My inner Marie Kondo screams with glee!
But, my main mission is to spread the joy and bring some extra sparkle to Worthing! My stage show will be at The Assembly Rooms ā you can imagine what a visual treat thatās going to be. You know my signature twirls and flips are going to send the audience into a frenzy, and hopefully, inspire some pink tutu dreams of their own. I hope to make enough for the journey, but it's all about the magic I can create!
Speaking of dreams, Worthing is such a lovely, old-fashioned seaside town! Thereās something charming about the Victorian architecture, the classic arcades, the beachā¦ It makes you feel like youāve stepped back in time, only in the best way possible. Of course, Iāll be wearing my pinkest, brightest tutu on my stroll along the promenade! Thereās going to be some excellent people watching opportunities!
Oh, and did I mention I'm hoping to take a horse-drawn carriage ride? It's one of those things I've always wanted to try! It'll add a touch of elegance and old-school charm to my trip, you know? Can you imagine, Pink Tutu Sparkles glimmering on a carriage, with the wind in her hair? Picture perfect, isn't it?
Of course, this whole pink tutu extravaganza would be incomplete without some proper British seaside food! Fish and chips on the beach? I can already smell the crispy batter and the fresh salt air! And donāt even get me started on the ice creamā¦ You can bet Iāll be going for the strawberry flavour with lashings of pink sprinkles.
You know Iām always ready to share my pink tutu adventures, so donāt forget to check my website (www.pink-tutu.com) daily for more updates and lots of fabulously pink photos!
Stay fabulous, you lovelies!
Love,
Pink Tutu Sparkles x
