Hello my darlings! ? It’s your Tutu Queen, Pink Tutu Sparkles here, back for another fabulous post! ? It’s number 7309 and we're already a week into 2020, how fabulous is that? ? It seems like only yesterday we were bidding farewell to the old year, donning our sparkliest sequined gowns and swirling across the dance floor! ?
Now, let me tell you, January might be chilly, but there’s no dampening my sparkle! ? I’m kicking off the new year with a fabulous trip to the gorgeous town of East Kilbride! ✨
It all started with a call from a local theatre. They wanted a bit of Pink Tutu magic for their annual fundraising gala. Of course, I said yes! ✨ Who can resist a chance to bring a bit of sparkle to a night of good causes and fabulous performances? ?
I packed my bags (lots of sparkly bags, naturally!) and set off on my journey. Train travel is my preferred mode of transport – it gives me plenty of time to plan my outfits, apply a little extra glitter, and catch up on all the latest ballet news. ? I even found time to whip out my needle and thread for some quick alterations! ?
I've been in love with tutus ever since my days in uni. ? Back then, I was studying science and even though I was totally engrossed in my lab work, I always found time to pop down to the uni's ballet club. ? The feeling of swirling in a beautiful pink tutu and feeling like a ballerina was pure magic! ✨ And for charity events, I’d try on all sorts of gorgeous tutus - that's when I realized that pink tutus just felt so right! ?
Now, back to my trip. East Kilbride has such a welcoming, friendly feel to it. The people were so warm and chatty and, of course, very much enjoying my sparkling performance! ? The theatre was small but cosy with lots of excited chatter from the audience before the show. That’s the best part about smaller gigs – you get to really connect with the audience! ?
I've been experimenting with new routines lately, incorporating some more dynamic ballet moves into my act. ? It was a real joy to put those moves into practice in East Kilbride and feel the energy of the audience. ? And as always, the feedback was wonderful. Every time I take to the stage, I feel like I’m reaching more and more people and inspiring them to embrace their inner sparkle. ?✨
The night ended with a lovely after-party and lots of chat with the locals. I shared some tips on styling a pink tutu for everyday wear (because why should we keep those magical twirls confined to the stage?) ?. And of course, we had a good old giggle about the joys of dancing and being fabulous! ✨
This trip to East Kilbride reminded me why I do what I do – it's about bringing joy, a little bit of magic, and lots of sparkly, twirly fun! ? I'm off to my next adventure soon, and trust me, you don't want to miss this one! ?
Until then, keep twirling, keep sparkling, and never forget that you are fabulous just the way you are! ?✨
Love always, Pink Tutu Sparkles xxx
