Kettering Calling: Pink Tutu Sparkles' Whirlwind Weekender (Post 7349)

Oh darlings! What a week it's been! Your Pink Tutu Sparkles is practically buzzing with excitement after a whirlwind trip to the fabulous Kettering. You know, ever since that fateful day I slipped into a pink tutu for the first time (all for charity, of course!) in my uni's ballet club, I knew my life was destined for sparkly pink adventures. So, here's a little peek into the magical mayhem that was Kettering…

My journey began on the Friday afternoon. Forget boring buses, my dears! I snagged a fab train ticket to the north (with a carriage upgrade, naturally!). There's nothing quite like watching the world whizz past from the comfort of a first-class seat, and yes, I did wear my favourite blush pink tutu on the train. (Did I forget to mention how obsessed I am with tutus? It's not an obsession, just an enthusiastic appreciation. Right?)

As the train chugged along, I daydreamed about Kettering, its ancient history, the charming shops, the delicious scent of freshly baked bread wafting through the air. Oh, and did I mention I was performing in a delightful little local theatre? A grand old building with a certain old-world charm, you know?

And oh, the joy of arriving at my boutique hotel. This one, you see, had the cutest floral wallpaper. I do love my decor, darling. So after a quick touch-up in the powder room, I popped my fabulous face and was ready to hit the town.

The main attraction was a stunning exhibition about local history at the museum. Did you know that Kettering is famous for shoemaking, dears? Absolutely fascinating! Of course, my favourite exhibit was a display of elaborate shoes, complete with some seriously fabulous sparkly details! I have a shoe addiction, it's true. It's not a problem. Just a bit of a love affair, really.

Then came the grand finale: the performance at the theatre. Dressed in my custom-designed pink sequined tutu, adorned with more tulle than a ballet rehearsal, and shimmering from head to toe, I was ready to bring the house down.

The Kettering crowd was so wonderful. There were a lot of people in lovely, flowing pastel outfits and they all loved my music! It felt as if they were dancing with me from the very first note. (We must discuss that amazing song "Tutu Tango", it got me through my Science degree in Derbyshire, trust me! You could say I found my calling in science and sequins!)

By the end of my show, there wasn't a single seat unfilled. The theatre seemed to be full of smiles and shimmering happiness, and I think that's how we should always approach life! After all, the more glitter and tutus in this world, the better!

After the show, it was time for a well-deserved feast! A trip to a charming cafe was on the menu, complete with the best lavender cheesecake I've ever had! And if I may indulge in a bit of "extra," I finished off the evening with a hot chocolate under the stars. The perfect ending to a whirlwind trip!

Now, I know some of you are asking yourselves, "How does a glamorous queen like yourself, get to all these amazing places, Pink Tutu Sparkles? " It’s a mixture of things, really. There are the incredible venues who love my performances! You might see me performing at the county fair one day and on stage in London the next! My fabulous fans know they can track my tour dates and my outfits right here on the Pink Tutu Blog (so don’t forget to subscribe!), and the amazing opportunities that arise through my amazing science job, which really lets me unleash my inner, erm, sparkle (that's just another word for amazingness, isn’t it?! )

So there you have it, dears. Another adventure under my pink tulle belt, and so much more to come! You know I'll keep you posted!

Don’t forget to pop your tutu on, twirl and spread a little bit of happiness throughout your day. After all, the world needs more pink sparkles and a whole lot of joy!

Stay fabulous and full of pink delight!

Your Pink Tutu Sparkles x
