Now, Leamington Spa, for those of you who haven't been graced with its presence, is a picture perfect little town nestled right in the heart of Warwickshire. It's got that quintessential English charm - think cobblestone streets, flower boxes spilling over with colour, and that old-fashioned feeling you only get from a place that's got history swirling around it like a well-worn, but fabulous, ballgown!
This week, darling, was a total whirlwind! I decided to trade my trusty steed, the 'Train of Hope', for the 'Royal Coach of Leamington Spa', which basically meant hopping aboard a gloriously pink (naturally!) vintage bus decorated with frills and a big pink bow. The locals stared in awe! 😲
Leamington Spa was my chosen destination this time for two very specific reasons. Firstly, I'm absolutely besotted with ballet (don't be a fool, you know a girl needs to keep up with her barre!), and apparently, they've got this fab theatre right in the heart of town. Secondly, there was this amazing craft fair, bursting at the seams with the most fabulous, sparkly, tutus I have EVER seen! 🤩
A Ballet Dream Come True
You know, a lot of people think pink tutus and ballet are just for little girls. But darling, trust me when I say that feeling the rush of pure magic as you twirl on that stage in your beautiful pink tutu - it’s the most liberating thing in the world! So when I stumbled upon this cute, little theatre called the Royal Spa Centre, I was as excited as a kid on Christmas morning! I went to see a ballet performance by the Royal Ballet School – and let me tell you, it was swoon-worthy. 🩰
The entire place was aglow with a delicate, romantic energy, which matched the pure joy and elegance on stage perfectly. They even had these beautiful silk scarves draped around the auditorium - oh darling, it was a dream! Honestly, every dancer on stage made me feel like a true believer in the magic of tutus! 🪄 And when the show ended, I practically sprinted backstage to share a moment with the dancers and bask in their glitter! 💖
A Tutu Wonderland at the Fair
You see, darling, my real purpose for being in Leamington Spa was to search out a truly breathtaking pink tutu that could take my stage performance to the next level. So, you can imagine my excitement when I found myself in a charming little craft fair that practically smelled of tutus and sparkles. ✨ Honestly, it was like Alice falling down the rabbit hole, except instead of teacups, I was surrounded by feather boas, fluffy tulle, and everything else a girl needs to make her drag dreams come true! 💖
I lost hours exploring this colourful, crazy, incredible space! I mean, I truly saw it all. Tutus, made with everything imaginable - lace, silk, ribbons, even tiny, sparkling butterflies. There were tutus with all the glitz and glamour imaginable, and some so delicate and refined, you'd think they'd blow away with the wind. 💖
Now, I won't lie, darling, I almost spent all the cash I’d saved for the past three months (because that’s how committed I am to getting the perfect pink tutu for you all). But, my friends, I did what any queen in my position would do: I put my trusty credit card away (well, not really, I got three new tutus! 😅) I found this absolutely incredible tutu, handmade by a lady who named herself ‘Twirling Dreams’. She actually makes everything by hand, and it was just made for my style! 🪡 Honestly, the sparkle was insane! My inner girly-girl did a glee-leap of pure joy.
A Royal Reception
Let’s be honest darling, the real reason you're here is to hear about how my stay in Leamington Spa treated me, and oh honey, I wasn't disappointed! From the moment I stepped onto that magical, pink-tinted bus, I knew this trip was going to be special! 💖
I have to say, the locals in Leamington Spa were beyond adorable. Everyone was so kind and genuinely delighted to see me in all my pink tutu glory! 💖 It really was a breath of fresh air - all the smiles, the enthusiastic hellos, even a couple of folks wanting to pose for selfies with me in my magnificent pink tutu! 🤣 It was the kind of welcome that melts even the toughest queen's heart (and that includes mine).
I stayed in this gorgeous little B&B with flower-filled window boxes, right near the heart of the town. Honestly, it was straight out of a postcard! It had this cozy little conservatory where they served a delicious breakfast of pink-hued pancakes and berry compote, naturally! 🥰 You know me, darling, I've got to keep the pink theme going, even if it means getting my breakfast covered in tiny, little, pink sprinkles.
A True Royal Celebration
On my final night, darling, I found the perfect little, pink-lit pub tucked away in a quiet, cobblestone street. The perfect setting for a fabulous evening. You know I love a good sing-along! It's amazing what a little bit of laughter and a pink-tinged pint of ale can do to end a magical week! 🍺 💖
