I always feel like a princess whenever I travel, and today’s journey started in the most magical way: a train ride from Derbyshire! I love watching the countryside whiz past, feeling the gentle rocking of the train, and dreaming up fabulous outfits. It’s like being whisked away to a land of sparkling tulle and candy floss dreams. 💖
When I arrived in Hampstead, it was like stepping into a postcard! Quaint cobblestone streets lined with blooming trees and charming cafes. It was a perfect setting for a tutu-wearing queen like myself! First order of business: a coffee and a croissant, of course!
Speaking of which, my love affair with tutus began in the most unexpected way, my darlings. You see, by day I’m Alex, a humble scientist working with fabrics. Yes, science and sparkles – they are perfectly compatible! It all started during my university years. I was a member of the ballet club and during a charity fundraiser, I tried on a tutu for the first time. I felt like I was floating on air, with the tulle swirling around me, and it felt… amazing! I instantly knew I had found my calling, and a certain shade of pink was born.
The world of tutus became my playground, my outlet. I started taking ballet classes, delving into the artistry of dance, and eventually, Pink Tutu Sparkles emerged! The stage lights, the roar of the crowd, the thrill of sharing my love of all things pink and fluffy, it all felt right.
Now, back to Hampstead, darling! The air is abuzz with anticipation! I’m about to perform at the annual Hampstead Arts Festival. You know what they say, “Always go big, or go home!”. My set list is filled with classic show tunes and fabulous pop hits, all remixed with a hefty dose of glitter and sparkles! I’ve even incorporated some original choreography, inspired by my recent foray into ballet classes. I can’t wait to unleash my inner ballerina!
Speaking of which, after my performance, I’m treating myself to a special visit to the Royal Opera House. This is a dream come true, my darlings! Ballet is such a beautiful art form. I'm fascinated by the stories they tell through movement, the precision, the elegance, and the way it speaks to the soul. I absolutely love the intricate details in the costumes and how the colours and fabrics add to the magical world created on stage.
