Scunthorpe Sparkles! ✨ Post 7557 ✨

Helloooo darlings! Pink Tutu Sparkles here, your resident tutu-loving, pink-obsessed drag queen, reporting live from the fabulous Scunthorpe! It's been a whirlwind week of train journeys, shopping sprees, and some truly incredible ballet performances! Oh, and did I mention I might have worn a tutu every single day? 🀫 Because when in Scunthorpe...

You know, Scunthorpe is one of those places that truly grows on you! I was worried about the weather, honestly! It's supposed to be a little... windy in these parts! I had to carefully pack a new fluffy pink shawl, and, darling, I am absolutely living for the matching fluffy pink handbag! It even has a pink feather boa strap. Yes, it's just as divine as it sounds. πŸ˜‰

But enough about fashion! It's all about the ballet! My journey to Scunthorpe was fuelled by a long-held dream: seeing Swan Lake performed by the Royal Ballet, but in the heart of Scunthorpe itself! Yes, darling, the Scunthorpe Performing Arts Centre actually put on the most spectacular production! The dancers were absolute angels and I swear the entire venue was filled with pink feathers from their magnificent tutus! Talk about an elegant experience. 🀩

Afterwards, I had to explore! You know, finding all the most glamorous places in Scunthorpe to get a picture in my pinkest tutu! Let me tell you, dear readers, the Scunthorpe Market is no slouch in the fashion department. There were stalls and stands overflowing with the most fabulous fabrics and bows you've ever seen! I even found this amazing pink felt bow headband that will make all my future Pink Tutu outfits absolutely pop! Who knew Scunthorpe held such hidden treasures? πŸ’Ž

But Scunthorpe wasn't just about glamorous fashion, darling! I went exploring on the Trent Navigation Canal with its charming Ironstone and Heritage Trail . I swore I saw a miniature pink flamingo on one of the locks, but, as you know, darling, sometimes it's always about seeing the pink where there isn't any... πŸ€ͺ

Speaking of pink... who remembers my fabulous trip to Derby on Tuesday? Yes, darling, I did meet some amazing drag artists at the Derby Fringe Festival, where I performed a set in a shimmering rainbow tutu with extra layers of tulle to catch all the spotlights! Oh, darling, you know I love my light shows! ✨

As the evening descended upon the gorgeous Scunthorpe, I couldn't help but be reminded of how truly amazing it is to get to be Pink Tutu Sparkles. You know, back in the day, in Derbyshire, I never thought I'd be travelling all over the country to wear pink tutus and share my passion for dance! But being myself is all about finding the pink in the ordinary! And when life gives you tutus, darling, you dance in the street! πŸ˜‰

More Adventures in Tutu! πŸ’–

You know what, darlings, after such a magnificent week of travel, I couldn't just end my Scunthorpe adventure with the usual photo shoot in front of the famous "Scunthorpe" sign (though I did grab a few cheeky snaps for Instagram, naturally!).

So, naturally, I thought, "What better way to say goodbye to Scunthorpe than by heading to the horse riding centre at The Courtyard?" Because, let's be real, what could be more glamorous than a pink tutu on horseback? (I do hope I'm not spoiling you!) πŸ‡

And darling, that's where I truly embraced my Scunthorpe spirit! Now, I'm a city gal at heart, so being in the heart of the countryside with rolling fields all around me? It was a truly delightful, refreshing experience! I was just picturing myself riding on horseback wearing my tutu while gracefully holding onto a feather boa, which is very, very hard, and laughing at myself as my long, tulle-filled skirt would get blown everywhere by the wind! The best part is I never quite got the chance to fully put that to the test! 🀫

Oh, dear readers! You should've seen the staff at The Courtyard laughing! They've never seen a horse rider in a pink tutu before! They were absolute darlings about it though and they got me a wonderful, gentle pony who even seemed to love the tulle! The most surprising part is they were even able to take photos and post it on the Courtyard's Facebook page, for free. You've got to admire those marketing skills, darling! ✨

After the riding session, I found myself relaxing in the nearby park and I started talking to an adorable old lady, who you know, just had to be reminded how absolutely divine it would be to wear a pink tutu on a horse in a local park on a Saturday morning! I think it’s safe to say I've definitely planted the seed in her very active mind! 🌸 You see, sometimes darling, being a pink tutu-loving drag queen is just about helping others find their pink inside! πŸ˜‰
