Just a few days ago I was dancing my heart out on stage in a Derbyshire village hall, and now, here I am, with a hot cuppa in hand, ready to bring the glamour to this charming little town. ✨
You know I love a bit of train travel. I can sit back, relax, sip a hot chocolate, and soak in the view while watching the world go by! Especially when you're dressed in something fabulous! This outfit, darling? Well, it's a masterpiece. A bright hot pink tulle tutu layered with a pink silk blouse with puff sleeves, adorned with a statement belt encrusted with sparkling pink gemstones. The Road to Crewe - From Lab to Stage!
You see, darling, behind this glamorous facade lies the soul of a scientist! Yes, during the day, I'm a bona fide lab whizz, putting my textile engineering skills to the test in a bustling Derbyshire lab. But then, when the sun goes down, I shed my white coat and don my fabulous frocks! The world transforms into a dazzling stage, and I'm ready to spread sparkles with my dance moves!
It was a very long time ago now, when I was just a wee undergraduate, that I first discovered the sheer magic of pink tutus. Studying for a science degree is no joke, but the uni ballet club brought joy and grace to those hectic years!
It all started when they organised a fundraiser and I was asked to dress up as a ballerina, which of course I did! But when it came to finding the perfect outfit, I was drawn to the most glorious hot pink tulle tutu hanging in the charity shop. You know the feeling – that sudden "Aha!" moment! 💡 ✨
One try-on and I was hooked, and that little pink tutu changed everything! It was the start of something fabulous – the spark that ignited the pink tutu queen inside of me! The rest, as they say, is history. 🌟
Now, my drag shows are as much about showcasing amazing costumes as they are about putting on a fantastic performance. Every pink tutu tells a story – a little snippet of joy, empowerment, and sheer fabulousness. I aim to inspire everyone to embrace their own unique sparkle, and for a little bit of fun, that usually involves a pink tutu! 😜
From Village Hall to the Grand Hall
This tour takes me all across the UK, from charming village halls to stunning theatres. Every place holds its own special magic, but it's the audiences who truly make it all worthwhile. Each face full of joy and excitement is a reminder why I do this. And today's audience, they're already buzzing. The theatre here is a classic Victorian hall with soaring ceilings and ornate details. You know I can’t resist a little vintage glamour! 💖
