This whole “travelling drag artist” thing can be chaotic, let me tell you. I’m a scientist by day, spinning fabric yarns and sniffing at test tubes. But then, at the stroke of midnight (okay, maybe around 6 PM when the lab doors click shut), the pink tutu goes on and Pink Tutu Sparkles is born.

The year was, gulp, let’s not mention the year. But suffice to say, I was in the university ballet club, helping raise money for charity. I'm working on getting more involved in local theatre and ballet shows. Maybe one day I’ll get a guest spot at a Royal Opera House show! Who knows?
One highlight of my performance was a little girl named Rosie. Dressed in a mini pink tutu, she giggled as she bounced along to the music. She came backstage after the show to chat and take photos – a memory I’ll cherish forever. And that’s what it’s all about.
