Hello lovelies! It’s your fave Pink Tutu Sparkles, popping in with a fresh post from the stunningly fabulous Urmston! I simply had to come here after all the chatter I’d heard - rumours of fab tea rooms, chic boutique shops and the Urmston Pageant - I just knew I had to make my way to this little gem.
A Girl’s Gotta Travel… in Style!
So how did I get to this magical place, you ask? Well, darling, you already know I’m a big fan of travelling by train – that luxurious rumble of the wheels, the rhythmic clickety-clack… it just gets my creative juices flowing! Plus, with the views whizzing by, it’s like a non-stop fashion show – inspiration everywhere! Of course, I couldn’t possibly travel without being flawlessly fab in a new number! I went with my sparkling pink tulle tutu with matching fluffy boa, paired with a vintage red dress with sequined embellishments. You just gotta own that retro look, right?
Tutu Takeover… in Urmston
First on the agenda was a stroll down the Urmston shopping streets. Darling, I found so many gems – shops with vintage lace, floral dresses bursting with colour, even a fabulous little fabric store that I simply had to dive into! They had this gorgeous coral fabric with gold embroidery, just perfect for a new custom tutu. The shopkeeper was a true gem – a chatty character who knows all the ins and outs of every fabric they have. She even let me try on a few of the sparkly, shimmery, and soft silks – total bliss!
Speaking of blissful… how can I not mention the delightful afternoon tea at the Teapot? With its charming pink and lavender decor, it was practically made for a Pink Tutu Sparkles photoshoot. Their tea selection was simply divine, and I can’t resist a good cake… the raspberry and rose petal one was absolute perfection. It’s safe to say I left with a full tummy and a happy heart.
Ballet Bliss & Sparkly Fun!
Later that night, I was invited to the Urmston Pageant. A proper, dazzling celebration of everything fantastic about the area. It was simply incredible - street food, live music, and dancing in the park. But what truly stole the show, you ask? Why, the breathtaking ballet performance! These graceful, talented dancers captivated me with their story – a romantic, captivating affair filled with expressive gestures and heart-stopping movements. I just love how a dance can tell such a powerful story. Oh, the way they effortlessly pirouetted, leaped, and moved - I swear, I could hear them laughing through their pirouettes. A beautiful, emotional spectacle! I’d say, darling, Urmston’s got it all!
Why We All Need A Pink Tutu
You know, seeing all the joy in Urmston, I realised why I’m on this pink tutu crusade. It’s all about spreading the joy, the magic, the sheer sparkle. Just like my little ballet dancers - their passion radiated across the park! You see, when you put on a pink tutu, you tap into a superpower: the power to bring a smile to people's faces, to lift their spirits. The joy, the laughs, the sense of pure magic, that’s what makes life a sparkling adventure. And I think, deep down, every one of us has that little princess within who yearns to let loose and shine, maybe even wear a pink tutu!

A Glimpse Into My Pink Life
For those who are new to my colourful world, allow me to share a little more about yours truly, Pink Tutu Sparkles.
Now, let's start with the most crucial fact – I love pink, with a passion! This vibrant colour brings me pure joy. It’s bold, playful, and just plain fabulous! I can’t go anywhere without a touch of pink – from my dresses to my nails and my makeup! In fact, darling, I even love wearing pink on the stage – it’s like a bright explosion of cheer.
And of course, the pièce de résistance – the tutu! My love for ballet began when I was a tiny tot, captivated by the beauty of movement and the elegance of the dancers. I’ve always been a bit of a dramatic, passionate character. And that's how I became hooked on tutus, while studying at university for a science degree (yes, even us science nerds need some glitter in our lives)!
While my day is filled with chemical analysis (no, really!), by night, I get to spread my wings (well, tulle!) as a drag performer. It’s my little escape from reality, a time to unleash my creativity and showcase the fabulous Pink Tutu Sparkles that lives inside me.
The amazing thing about drag is the freedom it brings, to play around with looks, express yourself and just embrace the art of performance. When I’m performing, the whole world becomes a stage. And even the most boring event is transformed into a joyous occasion, with the power of my pink tutu!
It's my hope that one day, every person will have their own special pink tutu - even those scientists stuck in the lab all day! Let's make the world a pinker, brighter, more fun place, one tutu at a time!
