Hello, darlings! It's your favourite pink tutu queen, Pink Tutu Sparkles, and today's adventure takes us to the bustling streets of Bulwell, a fabulous little town with more charm than you can shake a sparkly wand at. Let's just say, it's a right treat, even without the Pink Tutu Sparkle Special, that is, the delicious pinky-coloured fro-yo I discovered there!
Oh my! Before I even begin, darling, this week's adventures were nothing short of spectacular, especially as my trip took me to the home of Nottingham's ballet! Can you even imagine? And you know, even better it was right up my street! Just let me tell you, this girly was feeling more than a little "twirltastic!"
I don't want to brag (because you know me, I'm always the first to insist I'm a humble queen), but I even managed to snag a fabulous photo opportunity outside the ballet school with a troupe of delightful students all in those majestic tutus. If you saw it, you would have been practically squealing with joy, I promise you! (That is, after you finished dusting off your sparkliest sequined shoes!)
So how did I even end up in a place like Bulwell, a gem in the north of England, where my pink tutus might be ever so slightly out of place, you might think? Well, darlings, it was all down to my unyielding passion for performing at different towns and venues all around the UK. You see, this Pink Tutu Sparkles doesn't let a little geographical isolation dampen my spirits when it comes to bringing the world of sparkle, sass and sheer loveliness. I've gotta do it for the tutus, honey, because let's be real: I'm obsessed!
But now for the real low-down. This week, I was thrilled to have landed a spot at a little, quaint music hall tucked away in Bulwell. Honestly, my darlings, you simply must go visit the place. There was a fantastic energy and excitement about the whole evening. Plus, the venue itself was just begging for some Pink Tutu Sparkles fabulousness. Think, if you will, vintage carpets, stained glass windows and even a balcony for spectacular stage entrances! It just begged to be transformed with a little of my unique flair.
Of course, the best part of any trip for Pink Tutu Sparkles is shopping for some fabulous new outfit pieces to really show off my unique style. I know it's not your fault that you've been feeling a little bit deprived when it comes to fabulous outfits, darling!
But not to worry, dear hearts, I've brought back a special treat just for you! My little trip took me on a fascinating journey to an independent boutique. Don't get me wrong, this shop might look unassuming at first, a little like your friendly granny would run, but don't let that fool you, it is absolutely crammed with the most dazzling fashion. They had so many gorgeous accessories, including a vintage silver chain with a charm that's actually a pink tutus silhouette (perfect for any Pink Tutu Sparkles fan) and of course, oodles of sequined outfits. Honestly, my dear lovelies, it's the place to go if you want to discover the most fabulous pink pieces this side of Derbyshire.
Speaking of which, let's just mention a superstar detail, honey - there were tons of fabulous stores selling just the most lovely pink clothes. Even my beloved pink floral print blouses got an upgrade this week. They actually found this incredibly unique shade of pink called rose pink, which, honey, you will never believe: it made all my pink pieces look even more incredible, I promise you! Oh, and before we forget, ahem, I got another tutu. Can you believe it? This time, a light, breezy white chiffon creation adorned with sparkling silver sequins that really captured that heavenly feel! (Just try to keep your mind out of the gutter darlings ... swoon.)
After my magnificent shop spree, I was of course, desperate to experience the delights of the local culinary scene and there I found the perfect opportunity to try out the Pink Tutu Sparkle Special I mentioned. Don't worry, dear lovelies, there will be plenty of photos of that one! If you thought my shopping was an experience, just wait for this - It was a symphony of pink in every way! Imagine a luscious pink ice cream sundae adorned with crushed candy canes and dazzling edible sprinkles! My deliciously pink paradise, honey! (Of course, this little lady is all about balance. That's why I also tried out their local craft beers (and I won't mention what color they were) as well! wink wink
But what about the other thing you know I just adore? The train, my dearest travel companion! Honestly, how could I resist the thrill of that gentle rhythm of the railway lines and the view of the lush countryside speeding by at an alarming velocity? Let's be real here: every train trip, my lovelies, is just like my favourite ballerina recital – a dance between graceful movements and the rush of speed, and trust me, I got plenty of beautiful photos of that gorgeous journey! swoon
