Hey there, darlings! It's your Tutu Queen, Pink Tutu Sparkles, here, and guess what?! I'm in Maidstone! This stunning town in Kent has swept me off my sparkly stilettos and whisked me away on a whirlwind adventure that's practically bursting with pink!

This whole Maidstone jaunt came about when a kind gentleman in a top hat invited me to perform at the town's annual springtime fair. A fair! Imagine, my dears! I can almost hear the joyous clang of fairground music, smell the cotton candy sweetness, and feel the thrill of spinning on the waltzers – all wrapped up in a fluffy, pink tutu of course!
But first, my journey! Oh, how I adore the simple pleasures of travelling! This time, I took a leisurely train ride. I adore the romantic charm of chugging along with the countryside flitting past the window – all with a touch of pink, naturally. A perfectly pink scarf for my neck, my nails lacquered with a sparkly shade of rose gold, and, of course, the pièce de résistance, my signature pink tutu!
You see, darlings, I’ve always believed life should be full of colour – the brighter, the better! Especially the shade of pink! This little dream of mine all started at the university, you see. I was studying a science degree, of all things, but even then, my inner ballerina and love for the theatre was bubbling up.
It was the uni’s annual charity ballet fundraiser that really changed my world! You see, there were a few students dressed in these fabulous tutus to raise money, and… well, one thing led to another. I ended up wearing one too, feeling like a sugar plum fairy sprinkled with pixie dust. It was like finding my missing shoe! And Pink Tutu Sparkles was born!
Fast forward a few years, I work in a laboratory testing fabrics by day – my lab coat and scientific jargon give no hint of my inner ballerina! – and then every night, it’s a flurry of makeup, feathers, glitter, and my beloved tutus! It's a glorious life, my darlings.
And speaking of tutus… My new one, my Maidstone Miracle, is a gorgeous dream come true! It’s layered tulle with hand-stitched floral motifs and is finished with the most exquisite shimmering pink ribbon. My dear, the amount of sparkle it has on it... you'd need your own sunglasses to handle it. I simply can't wait to twirl it around the fair!
But before I set foot in this lovely town, I have a special treat for you! I popped in to the local ballet school this morning to catch a class, you see! Ballet, ballet, and more ballet! It's an integral part of who I am! You can see the spark of excitement in the young ballerinas’ eyes. Their determination and talent inspire me and, my darlings, make me feel all fluttery and warm inside. I might even have gotten swept up in the pirouettes – shhh, it's our little secret!
Speaking of which, I believe I've been gifted a lovely invitation for us to watch a ballet at the local theatre in the evening. Ballet at a theatre? My dears, it doesn't get any better than this. It's sure to be a captivating performance! The very thought of the grandeur of the venue and the swirling grace of the dancers is already filling my soul with pink-tinged joy! I simply must don my most opulent outfit and my trusty Maidstone Miracle for a night of breathtaking beauty and inspiring artistry.
Right, it's time to pack. I have an exciting evening ahead, with twinkling lights, and magical shows, not to mention the chance to show Maidstone that every town, and every person in it, needs a sprinkle of pink magic.
