So, as you know, I'm all about finding new adventures, new experiences, new tutus to wear, and most importantly, new places to spread the Pink Tutu Love!
This week, my journey to Acton started as all the best journeys do - with a magical train ride! You know me - I’m a sucker for a train journey. There’s something so incredibly glamorous about sipping a perfectly chilled glass of sparkling elderflower, watching the world zip by outside my window, and, of course, doing a quick selfie or two to share my fabulous outfit with the world. This time I decided to wear a stunning pink silk tutu with iridescent feathers that made me feel like a princess straight out of a fairy tale. ✨
As the train chugged through the countryside, I got super excited about what adventures awaited me in Acton. I knew the town had a charming historical market square, a beautiful park for picnics and romantic walks, and, most importantly, a fantastic community theatre where I was booked to perform my one-woman show “Pink Tutu Wonderland”.
The best thing about travelling by train? You can absolutely rock a dazzling ensemble and never fear that pesky airport security might try to confiscate your amazing feather boa! 💃
After an enchanting journey that included chatting with fellow passengers (a lovely couple returning from a theatre trip to Stratford-upon-Avon), I arrived at Acton station feeling incredibly energised. I decided to have a wander around town before my performance. The first thing I noticed was the market.
Now, I must admit, I have a slight weakness for quaint British markets, don't I, darlings? So, naturally, I was drawn to all the charming little stalls with their delicious handmade fudge, brightly coloured scarves, and oh-so-lovely antique jewellery.
You might think I bought some yummy treats or a charming vintage brooch. But, of course, I was on a mission to find the perfect pink accessory for my performance! And you know what? I discovered a glorious pink feathered hat, perched on a stand among an array of vintage bonnets, it literally called out to me! This glorious, feather-trimmed creation was a perfect match for my dazzling tutu.
It was definitely destined to make my "Pink Tutu Wonderland" performance even more spectacular! 🤩
And speaking of performances, darlings! The theatre was truly delightful. A cosy, intimate venue with lovely red velvet seating and beautiful stained glass windows. I felt a buzz of excitement as I entered, I knew that Acton's lovely residents were ready to be wowed!
Now, you all know I have a massive heart for ballet, so you can imagine how much I was overjoyed to learn that Acton has a beautiful ballet school! The owner even let me borrow some incredible pointe shoes for my performance! This meant that I was able to incorporate a mini-ballet routine into my set, to everyone's absolute delight!
And my performance? It was a complete and utter triumph, darlings! The audience absolutely loved the "Pink Tutu Wonderland" and joined me in singing, dancing, and celebrating all things fabulous! Even the children in the audience loved to shout out requests for some of my signature moves like the Pink Tutu Twirl, the Sparkle Plié, and the Fabulous Feather Fling!
You wouldn’t believe how many times I had to repeat the “Pink Tutu Twirl”, darlings! It turns out, Acton is full of tiny dancers at heart! But that's how it always is with the Pink Tutu Princess – spreading glitter and joy wherever I go!
I always try to leave a piece of the “Pink Tutu Wonderland” magic in every town I visit! This time I left the local park with a sprinkle of iridescent glitter to keep the fabulous spirit alive long after I’d gone!
I even left some extra sparkly pink ribbons at the ballet school, to encourage those amazing young ballerinas to shine even brighter! 🩰
My travels through Acton were nothing short of amazing, darlings! The friendly locals, the delicious food (try the amazing fish and chips!), and of course the fabulous ballet school, it really was a wonderful weekend away.
But now it’s time to head back home to Derbyshire! My laboratory is calling. I must get back to work as a scientific wizard - designing new materials, conducting experiments, and, most importantly, making sure my latest pink tutu designs are even more fabulous! 😉
Oh, but wait… There’s something else I have to tell you! This trip to Acton sparked a truly inspiring thought. Imagine a whole village wearing pink tutus? Imagine everyone rocking the pink tutu life! Isn’t it such a joyous vision? Well, darling, it's not just a vision, I'm making it a mission.
It’s time for the Pink Tutu Revolution! Get ready, Acton, get ready, world! Pink is the new black and tutus are the ultimate fashion statement! It’s time for every town to get its pink tutu on!
