That's why, after discovering the joy of twirling in a pink tutu during my university days (a memory forever etched in my heart - all for a good cause, of course!), I decided to bring a sprinkle of sunshine to every day. And what better way to do that than by travelling the length and breadth of this beautiful country, sharing my love of pink tutus and the fabulous world of drag with everyone I meet!

Today, my journey takes me by train – oh, I simply adore the rhythm of the rails, the gentle sway, and the feeling of freedom that comes with watching the world fly by – all while I'm dazzlingly attired in my trusty pink tutu. I feel like a princess on the move! As I arrive in Yeovil, the air is already brimming with anticipation for the evening’s performance at the local theatre. I can practically feel the magic swirling through the cobblestone streets!

But before I hit the stage, let’s delve into what makes Yeovil so special!

I’ve always been a sucker for history. The history of Yeovil dates back centuries, all the way to the Norman Conquest, with fascinating glimpses into the town’s rich past found at the Yeovil Museum. Imagine it, darlings – strolling through galleries overflowing with artifacts and stories from the 17th and 18th centuries. My inner history buff was truly delighted!

But what truly captured my heart, were the gorgeous 19th century buildings adorned with intricate stone carvings and towering chimneys – they’re a testament to the town’s past and the Victorian era in general! I swear, darling, the entire town feels like it’s been ripped straight from a Dickens novel. But fear not, Yeovil is a town of both grand architecture and warm charm, seamlessly blending the old and the new.

And oh, speaking of new, have you ever experienced the magic of a brand-new boutique filled with all things fashion and sparkles? I have, and let me tell you – I absolutely love finding local gems brimming with eye-catching clothes. Yeovil’s got it all.

And now for the true heart of our adventure – Yeovil's beautiful Ninesprings Country Park. Picture this – vibrant gardens ablaze with colourful blooms, lush woodlands humming with birdsong, and the most breathtaking views stretching out to the horizon. What’s not to love? This was the perfect place to enjoy a delightful stroll, bask in the sunshine, and even try my hand at (somewhat disastrous) bird watching. Thankfully, my tutus are built for all occasions, and I’m quite fond of the extra twirls that came with the rolling green hills.

The park reminded me of my beloved Derbyshire – there’s something so special about green spaces and those magnificent views that make my heart flutter with joy. Of course, my tutu and I made sure to snap a few photos amidst the vibrant foliage, creating memories to last a lifetime! It was the perfect dose of nature and serenity before taking to the stage.

As the sun began to set, casting a golden hue across the town, I eagerly awaited the start of the show at the Westlands Entertainment Venue. Stepping onto the stage with my trusty pink tutu and a twinkle in my eye, I felt the energy surge through the crowd. We danced, we sang, and we celebrated the magic of self-expression through the transformative power of drag! It's a feeling I could never describe - the joy of sharing the love of sparkles and fabulous costumes, and reminding everyone to embrace their true selves, tutus or not!

That evening, the hearts of Yeovil pulsated with colour and glitter! And the audience embraced our show with such joyful enthusiasm – it reminded me of the joy and camaraderie that brings us all together, transcending any differences and creating a moment of pure shared delight. And as always, there wasn’t a frown in sight, just dazzling smiles reflecting back all the sparkle and joy I had to offer!
