Remember how I was telling you about my grand plans to spread the pink tutu gospel across the land? Well, I’m so excited to share that this week, I got to bring a sprinkle of sparkle to Kingswood! I’ve never been to Kingswood before, so this was all brand new to me - I literally couldn't wait to explore!
Let me tell you, this place is pure magic! From the moment the train pulled into the station, I knew I was going to fall in love. Those rolling hills, that crisp countryside air, it just took me straight back to childhood dreams of twirling in meadows, surrounded by wildflowers and singing birds!
Now, before we get to the amazing adventures that unfolded, let me tell you a bit about how I got there. Like all my journeys, I travel like a true vintage movie star - I always prefer to travel by train when possible! A quick whizz across the country, watching the world go by outside my window, feeling that sense of magic as I embark on a new adventure. This trip, I opted for first class because I deserved to travel in style and couldn’t wait to get comfortable, catch up on some ballet routines and of course, enjoy the complimentary tea and biscuits!
Once I arrived in Kingswood, the air was alive with the sounds of laughter and the scent of fresh baking. This little town had a charming energy, everyone seemed so warm and welcoming. I must have popped in to half a dozen bakeries just trying to find the most delicious cake! I know, I know, "how many cakes does a queen need?" Well, the answer is always at least one more than I have! 🧁
The highlight of my Kingswood escapade? Well, the show must go on, darling! I had the honour of performing at the Kingswood Community Fair. You know me, I couldn't resist getting everyone into the pink tutu spirit, so I had my custom-made "Tutus for Everyone!" merchandise ready to sell. They practically flew off the stall! 💖
I mean, what better place to show off my sparkly repertoire than in the heart of a lively community gathering? It was a whirlwind of fun - think face paint, inflatable games, local crafts, and a dazzling display of colourful parades!
Speaking of dazzling, let's talk about my performance. I put my heart and soul into that set, darling, it was everything. I’m talking about a stunning display of pink tutus, sparkly hairspray, glitzy makeup, and some of my best ballet moves. The audience were mesmerised! They just loved it! All that excitement got me ready to move my feet – let me tell you, Kingswood has a very unique flavour. My final act involved a crowd dance! Everyone was jumping and twisting around – you would have thought it was a scene out of a Disney movie!
Of course, a pink tutu queen can’t visit a new town without visiting the local theatre, so I did just that! And wouldn’t you know it? I happened to stumble upon an actual ballet performance in Kingswood! It was such a surreal experience – to see live, professional ballet in this tiny town. It felt magical. After the performance, I just had to chat with the dancers, and learned all about Kingswood's secret passion for ballet – who knew?
That wasn’t the only surprise I found in Kingswood. Imagine my delight when I came across the most delightful horse-drawn carriage, and they let me go for a ride! The sound of the horses' hooves clopping on the cobbled street, it's a dream come true. And you wouldn’t believe the beautiful view of the valley we had from up on top!
The Kingswood community was incredibly warm and welcoming - so much so, they even had a “Pink Tutu Parade” through the main square in my honour! Can you imagine the sight? Pink tutus galore! It was absolutely incredible! All I could say was, “Thank you, darling Kingswood!
Let me tell you, my darlings, visiting Kingswood was an absolute triumph! Not only did I spread the pink tutu love far and wide, I even managed to squeeze in some time for a spot of retail therapy - which, as we all know, is an essential activity for any queen! Let’s just say I went a little overboard with all the gorgeous vintage clothing, cute little cafes and handmade jewelry… oh, I’m positively smitten with Kingswood!
Now, I’ve got to confess, I am still blushing at the memory of all the incredible support I received during my stay. Everyone was so enthusiastic, they even made me a huge pink tutu welcome sign with my name on it. I was absolutely floored by all the attention – you're really my biggest inspiration to keep doing what I’m doing. 💖
