#TutuQueen on 2021-10-03 stars in Huyton

Hello, darlings! Pink Tutu Sparkles here, and it’s time for a little #TutuQueen travelogue! I’ve had the most delightful time exploring the charming town of Huyton, and you just KNOW I had to share the glittery details with my beloved #TutuFam. This is blog post number 7947, folks, and the pinkness never stops! 💅

Huyton! A quaint little town nestled in the heart of Merseyside, and, you won’t believe this, the railway station even boasts a mural with a beautiful ballet dancer. Clearly, this place is just screaming my name! 🥰 My journey began on a magnificent red double-decker, my hair (don’t worry, it was properly pinned and perfectly coiffed!) grazing the top deck window. The journey was picture postcard perfect - lush greenery, quaint cottages, the occasional cow or two... and naturally, a touch of pink here and there!

Travel Tip: While a horse-drawn carriage might have been oh-so-glamorous, sometimes a good old train ride just gets the job done! Plus, there’s just something about the romance of chugging across the countryside that can’t be beaten.

Now, I wasn’t just in Huyton to ogle at cows and inhale the scent of fresh country air (though both were delightful). This trip was all about dancing! Yes, darlings, I just HAD to experience the magic of the Huyton Ballet Theatre. Imagine a place dedicated to spreading the joy of ballet - oh, my heart just melts with sheer happiness!

The venue was a charming theatre, all wood-panelled and plush velvet. The energy was vibrant, filled with excited chatter from seasoned dancers and first-timers alike. I snagged the front row seat, the best possible vantage point for the evening’s spectacle.

The performance was breathtaking, an exquisite display of grace and elegance. The dancers moved like swans on the water, their tutus a kaleidoscope of colours, each spin and leap a symphony of movement. The beauty of it all had me holding my breath, mesmerized by their talent and passion. It truly reaffirmed why I wear a tutu – because there’s nothing more empowering, more freeing, than moving with the sheer joy of ballet! 🩰

After the magical ballet, I had to fuel up with some scrumptious Huyton treats. My choice? The charming Huyton Cafe, where I sampled a delightful slice of pink (of course!) raspberry cake. Now, it wasn't your typical, dull cafe - the staff were friendly, the decor quirky and vibrant, and the atmosphere welcoming and warm. It's truly the kind of place where you can lose yourself for hours, sipping tea and gossiping with fellow fashionistas (I even convinced a few locals to try out pink tutus!).

Outfit Inspiration: My choice for Huyton? A pastel pink tutu (with delicate sequin detailing, obviously) paired with a white silk blouse, topped off with a bejeweled beret and my signature pink glitter eyeliner.

My next adventure took me to the local Huyton market, a true gem! There was everything - vibrant fruits, aromatic cheeses, local crafts... and what was the most captivating of all? An incredible display of pink! I found myself in a delightful little stall filled with vibrant pink flowers - roses, lilies, you name it! I even stumbled upon a stall selling pink-themed stationary, and let me tell you, it’s the perfect inspiration for a future Pink Tutu Sparkles collection. It's amazing what you can find just by looking for pink.

As the sun dipped below the horizon, I bid farewell to Huyton, a heart brimming with joy. This trip was a testament to the magic that can be found everywhere, even in the smallest towns. The experience reinforced my belief that wearing a pink tutu is more than just a fashion statement – it’s about embracing life with a spirit of fun, joy, and unapologetic self-expression.

So, darlings, remember this: Whether you're in a bustling metropolis or a charming village, you can always find your own brand of magic. All you have to do is look for it... and, of course, don a fabulous pink tutu!

P.S.: I have a few more fun tidbits about my Huyton trip to share! I met the sweetest baker in a tiny shop called “The Cake Corner” (where I indulged in a slice of raspberry cake!), discovered a local arts center that reminded me of my uni ballet days, and had a delicious, locally brewed ginger ale while I strolled along Huyton's main street.

   By day, I’m Alex, a fabric scientist, deep in the heart of a lab, testing the strength and durability of materials for new and exciting textile products. (Don’t worry, pink always sneaks into the lab. Sometimes I have to fight the urge to paint a test strip pink just because, you know?) But once the sun sets, it’s time for a little magic… The stage awaits, the pink lights shine bright, and the music begins, transforming Alex into Pink Tutu Sparkles.
