Paris: City of Lights, City of Pink Tutus! šŸ’–

Bonjour, my darling dears! This is TutuQueen signing in from the most glamorous city on Earth, Paris! It's my 8026th blog post, can you believe it?! Time really does fly when you're living your best life, covered in glitter and surrounded by pink tutus. šŸ’–

Oh, Paris, how I love thee! The Eiffel Tower, the Louvre, the Arc de Triompheā€¦ all incredible sights, but what truly makes my heart flutter is the fashion. From the chic Parisians strutting down the Champs-ƉlysĆ©es to the vibrant street style around the Marais, itā€™s a wonderland for a tutu-obsessed queen like myself. And let's be honest, no city embodies the ā€˜sparkle and shineā€™ quite like Paris!

This trip was a bit different from usual. Usually, I'm zooming around on a train (the speed and the views are incredible!), or gallivanting around on a horse ā€“ yes, a horse! Iā€™m not just about city life, Iā€™m a country girl at heart! But this time, my arrival in Paris was truly Parisian. I hopped off a majestic cruise ship at the port of Le Havre, leaving a trail of glitter in my wake, of course! It was all incredibly grand and quite magical, my dears, truly! The ocean breeze was exhilarating, the sky a canvas of dreamy blues and the smell of salty air filling my nostrilsā€¦ ah, pure bliss!

Itā€™s no secret, Paris is one of my favourite cities, but the main reason for this trip was the amazing ballet season here! The Bolshoi Theatre is, dare I say it, THE most stunning ballet venue in the world! And they had some fabulous productions on. The other night I went to see Giselle. I just love the story and the romanticism. But oh my! This version was quite dramatic! It was a ballet spectacle of the highest calibre with incredibly talented ballerinas (and one very dashing danseur!). They brought the characters to life with grace, passion, and artistry. And my darling dears, they ALL wore tutus. I canā€™t stress this enough, you cannot have ballet without tutus, even though there have been those who have attempted to. It simply doesnā€™t work.

Donā€™t even get me started on the costume department, all that silk and tulle ā€“ just exquisite! I must admit, after seeing this production, Iā€™ve had a very, very special pink tutu made ā€“ I know, you'll never guess the inspirationā€¦ you canā€™t see me but my eyes are getting that excited, shimmering look youā€™re so familiar with by now. Oh yes, a grand new TutuQueen creation inspired by a vision I had while watching those gorgeous ballerinas. The tutu will have its world premiere this week. Itā€™s a little too fabulous to keep under wraps for longer than necessary, but trust me you'll just have to wait and see. You won't be disappointed, darling dears!

But it wasn't all ballerinas and grand productions this week, oh no! I couldnā€™t visit Paris without immersing myself in its unique fashion scene, could I? Oh, darling, what a scene it is! After a luxurious afternoon indulging in pastries and coffee (what else would you do in a Parisian cafĆ©?), I hit the boutiques with a vengeance! Shopping spree time, my dears! I managed to score a sensational pink tutu for my friend Jasmine, who you'll all be introduced to very soon, a beautiful girl from Cornwall! You just know she's a big TutuQueen fan. The pinkest outfit and pinkest tutu, it was amazing! It has a little feather detail on it ā€“ so glam. Oh, and did I mention itā€™s full length? You just wouldnā€™t believe how many lovely tulle layers go into a pink tutu! We all need some luxury in our lives, my darlings, especially in our outfits. Don't you agree? Iā€™m thinking it might become the new ā€œmust-haveā€ accessory, who knows?

To my surprise, I found myself strolling through a cute little market, not that kind of Parisian market everyone flocks to for cheese, but a crafts fair! It was a small street festival full of handcrafted trinkets and oh so much moreā€¦and of course a wonderful opportunity for a little impromptu drag performance. Did you know thereā€™s nothing quite like performing on a stage in the open air? Especially in the city of light! So yes, there I was ā€“ a vision in my sequined jumpsuit, my famous, oversized pink bow perched perfectly on top of my magnificent crown. A small, makeshift stage made up of crates and an impromptu crowd forming from market-goers. I started my set and the music pulsed through the little marketā€¦

Well, to my delight, someone had heard of TutuQueen! I recognised one or two faces and a chorus of ā€œPink Tutu!ā€ and ā€œGo on Queen!ā€ ā€“ yes darling, what an honour to be a bit of an inspiration for such glamorous souls! After all, youā€™ve just got to shine your light as brightly as you can, if you do, my darlings, thereā€™s always someone there to see you. The world is full of wonderful people looking for inspiration. They come from all walks of life, and Iā€™ve met some extraordinary folk who adore all the bright colours and big bowā€™s in my outfits. If nothing else, the journey Iā€™ve been on is just a little encouragement for anyone looking for that extra push, even just a bit of fun!

Speaking of fabulous, it's about that time for me to goā€¦ But don't forget, I have more exciting Parisian adventures planned, donā€™t worry, darling dears, Iā€™ll be sharing all the details. I can already feel my little pink TutuQueen heart buzzing! After all, where else would you rather be, my darlings? The answer is simpleā€¦

The TutuQueen awaits! šŸ’•
