I've been absolutely buzzing with excitement for this trip. Darwen, you beautiful, quirky Lancashire town, you stole my heart in just a few short hours!
The train journey up was pure magic. I love that steamy, chuffing engine sound - something about it makes me feel like I'm stepping into a storybook! And oh, how I loved gazing out of the window as the rolling countryside whipped past, my mind brimming with creative ideas. (I think Darwen inspired some seriously dreamy choreography - get ready for my next performance, folks!)
Speaking of performances, this was my first time in Darwen - a new adventure for this queen! The town was buzzing, packed with bright, bustling market stalls. There was a carnival atmosphere with the joyful strains of a brass band floating on the breeze. My inner child just exploded with delight.
It was a whirlwind of vibrant colours, friendly faces, and the aroma of freshly baked goodies - what's not to love?!
My performance that night was a glorious burst of energy! The crowd loved it - and who can blame them? 💅 Every gig is special, but this one had a little something extra to it. Perhaps it was the town's charm or maybe the twinkling lights reflected in my shiny pink tutu.

I simply had to indulge in some serious retail therapy while I was there. After all, every girl needs to add to her fabulous collection! A few trips to the town's quirky, independent shops and I found myself surrounded by dazzling delights: gorgeous, glittery shoes that make my heart skip a beat; some stunning floral print fabric to whip up my next drag creation; and a dazzling new sparkly tiara fit for a Queen! 👑
Before heading back to the wilds of Derbyshire, I just had to pop into a cute little tea room. It had this vintage charm, the kind you just don't find everywhere! And the cake? To die for! 🧁
As my adventures in Darwen came to an end, a sense of pure joy and wonder washed over me. The journey to find the perfect pink tutu is far from over, darlings.
