Hey darlings! Pink Tutu Sparkles here, bringing you another sparkling adventure from the glamorous world of tutus and glitter! Today, I'm whisking you away to the charming town of Eltham, a place that stole my heart with its quaint cobbled streets and bustling festive market.
I must confess, my journey to Eltham was a delightful one. The journey by train, whizzing through the English countryside, was truly magical. As I sat admiring the passing scenery, I couldn't help but dream of the grand performances that awaited me in this festive haven. You know how I love a good carriage ride, and this was a fab way to travel in style.
After settling into my charming hotel room, I took a stroll through the quaint, Christmas-lit streets of Eltham. The air was filled with the festive aromas of cinnamon and roasted chestnuts, and the sight of twinkling fairy lights dancing amongst the frosted branches of the ancient trees brought a sparkle to my eyes.
As the sun began to set, I made my way to the Eltham Market. It was a glorious display of colours, sounds and smells. Local artisans showcased their finest wares, from handmade jewellery to delicious homemade cakes. The aroma of hot mulled wine drifted through the air, adding to the festive cheer. But it was the festive costumes of the visitors that really grabbed my attention - a sea of sparkly Christmas jumpers, reindeer antlers and even a few fabulous, shimmering Santa outfits. Now, that's festive fun!
I was completely enchanted by Eltham’s magical market spirit! Of course, I couldn't resist the opportunity to add a little sprinkle of Pink Tutu Sparkles magic to the festivities. I sashayed through the market in my custom-made, cherry red tutu, shimmering with delicate sequins, drawing smiles and applause from the delighted crowd. One young boy even dared me to twirl, which, of course, I couldn't resist. That's what makes travelling as a drag artist so special - you get to interact with people, spread joy, and make the world a more fabulous place, one twirl at a time!
In the evening, I had the honour of performing at a charming little pub. The stage, adorned with twinkling fairy lights and Christmas decorations, felt like the perfect setting to bring my vibrant and joyful drag performance to life. As I started my set, the room erupted in laughter and applause, and by the time I finished my show, it felt like I'd won over every heart in the pub.
The whole evening was truly magical. From the warmth of the friendly locals to the joy of bringing my art to life, Eltham filled me with a festive glow that will stay with me long after I've left.
Eltham was a testament to the power of community, the magic of festive cheer, and the incredible potential of embracing your true colours, or rather, your favourite colour... pink, naturally!

For those of you who are new to my sparkly little world, I'm Alex, a Derbyshire-born drag artist who's passionate about bringing joy and glitter to every corner of the world. You can call me Pink Tutu Sparkles!
My obsession with pink tutus began during my science degree at university. Back then, I was a member of the ballet club and was persuaded to wear a tutu for a charity fundraiser. From that moment, I knew I'd found my true calling in life - a life of twirling, sparkles, and a whole lot of pink!
By day, I’m a scientist, a fabulously flamboyant lab technician who tests fabrics. But by night, I shed my lab coat and step into the dazzling world of drag, captivating audiences with my theatrical and energetic performances. My stage name, Pink Tutu Sparkles, embodies my love for tutus, my unwavering dedication to my craft, and my mission to spread a little sparkle and laughter wherever I go.
I live for those moments on stage when I hear the audience erupt in applause, and when their eyes light up with wonder and joy. I adore taking my pink tutu adventures on the road and seeing how different places react to my unique brand of magic! It’s my absolute passion to take the glitter, joy and passion of drag and share it with the world, one town at a time.
