Oh, darlings, Cheshunt was just divine! This little slice of Essex had my inner Tutu Queen positively shimmering! Now, as a seasoned pink-tutu-clad explorer of the world, let me tell you, a gal like me always needs a new challenge, and Cheshunt, well, Cheshunt did not disappoint!
I'd been planning this trip for weeks, you see. You know how I am – always meticulously planning my outfits, my train journeys, the performance, even the snacks. This trip, I decided, needed something special. My Cheshunt look would be…wait for it… a shimmering ombre pink tutu, a fabulous pink sequined top with a crystal-encrusted corset (yes, darlings, we are getting glam here!), and my signature pink lipstick.
Getting There in Style
First things first – how does a girl in a tutu travel, you ask? Trains! I swear, I have a secret railway connection, it seems. Trains are the ultimate glamour! They allow me to rock my pink tutus and catch up on my fashion magazines – nobody judges a girl in a pink tutu on the train. This particular train ride to Cheshunt was especially joyous. I met a darling couple with the cutest little boy who had to see my pink tutu! It was delightful! Honestly, my tutus are conversation starters – I'm spreading the Tutu Love wherever I go!
Pink Tutu Performance at Cheshunt Fair
Arriving in Cheshunt, the sun was out – what a welcome! You know, it’s not always sunny where I come from in Derbyshire… my performance would be at a local fair, the "Cheshunt FunFest." Oh, darlings, I was going to need to bring it to this crowd!
Setting up my stage – a pink, fluffy platform adorned with shimmering tulle and twinkling fairy lights – it looked utterly fabulous, I promise! I had to make my stage worthy of a Pink Tutu Queen, right? My fellow performers – I was on a stage with a hilarious comedy act, a singer, a magician, and even a clog dancing group – oh, we were so diverse! It was fabulous, truly. We were all so happy and relaxed, laughing and enjoying ourselves – perfect fair day energy!
The Power of Tutu Magic
I stepped onto my stage – cue the spotlight! My ombre tutu, sparkling top, and killer glitter had everyone’s eyes on me. I began my act, twirling with all the grace of a ballerina – after all, I do go to ballet class every week. The music was electric – my personal favourite, “I Will Survive!” You know how much I love singing Gloria Gaynor’s disco hits! The crowd loved my sassy song and dance performance - I got the biggest roar when I did a twirl in my tulle that brought down the house! You know me – I always get those last two seconds of applause!
Later that evening, the sun setting over the fairground, I walked amongst the stall owners. Honestly, they were the best - they even bought my sparkly glitter makeup! These people in Cheshunt were so lovely and so welcoming! The locals even bought a special, “Pink Tutu Sparkles” embroidered badge for my new luggage! How wonderful! There’s something so special about community, don’t you think?

Now, I must tell you, this Cheshunt trip was so inspiring – this town is a gem. If you're ever in the Essex area, Cheshunt's a must! Next, I'm heading to Brighton, Brighton! I hear they've got some amazing theatre going on down there – you know how I love a good performance! My new act is a dance piece, “The Tutu Story,” which celebrates my favourite pink accessory. I'm so excited to showcase it in Brighton - oh, there's a fantastic pier, and of course, the beach, and you bet I'm bringing my Tutu Sparkle beach look!
