Hey darlings, and welcome back to Pink Tutu Sparkles' daily dose of pink-tastic travel adventures! It’s your girl, Alex here, and I'm practically bouncing with excitement because, get this, I'm in Carshalton!
I know, right? I can't believe it either! My usual route involves high-speed trains or galloping on a trusty steed, but this time I opted for the slower pace, a leisurely trip by bus to soak in the sights. Oh, the countryside was glorious, like a landscape painting come to life with its patchwork fields and little villages, and, I confess, I almost started belting out a tune. (But wouldn't that be a tad inappropriate for a bus journey?)
Now, Carshalton might not be your typical glamorous destination, but it's got a charm that just sparkles - no pun intended, though I can't resist a little glitter! Today, the air was full of laughter and children playing in parks. It felt so refreshing, so much like going back to my childhood when everything felt like magic. It's days like these that remind me why I love exploring hidden corners of the UK - so much inspiration, so much beauty, and so much opportunity to spread the Pink Tutu message!
Oh, the pink! Everywhere I looked there were little pockets of pink - the blossom on a cherry tree, a fluffy cloud against the bright blue sky, the little pink roses peeking out of a cottage garden. It's a perfect reminder that even on a seemingly ordinary day, magic can be found, if you know where to look. And, let me tell you, that magic always starts with pink!
Of course, the real reason I was drawn to Carshalton, dear readers, was for the incredible ballet class happening this afternoon. It's a hidden gem of a studio run by the lovely Miss Charlotte, who you can imagine is as kind as she is talented. She's the type who lets you fall in love with ballet, and then shows you that you can actually dance! No matter your age, or whether you're a scientist by day or a dazzling pink-tutu-clad performer by night. It's the ultimate combination, ballet and glitter.
