The wind was in my hair (not to mention my perfectly coiffed pink wig, of course!) as I boarded the train this morning. Lowestoft, with its seaside charm and that salty air – just perfect for a fabulous Pink Tutu Sparkles performance.
Honestly, sometimes I feel like a queen who's travelling back in time. Imagine, a 20th century royal embarking on a journey to a new seaside town. Instead of a horse-drawn carriage, I've got my trusty first-class ticket and a stack of sparkly magazines. I am, of course, dressed to the nines in my finest pink tutu outfit – with a delicate lace bodice and sparkling pink heels. Can you believe it's even my favourite colour?! (It truly is, darling!)
My little Pink Tutu heart was beating with excitement as we pulled into the station. The scent of salt air mingled with the scent of the sea, the sunshine was shimmering over the waves. Even with the beautiful scenery and the fresh air, there's no escaping the Pink Tutu Sparkles excitement for Lowestoft! I love being able to introduce a bit of glitter and sparkle into towns like this - a little magic never hurts, does it?
So, how did a scientist from Derbyshire end up here? Well, let me tell you a little story about a pink tutu that changed my life forever...
A Little Pink Tutu Story
Now, I know this might surprise you - I’m a scientist, you see. In the daytime, you can find me in my lab testing fabrics and exploring the intricacies of textiles. But come nightfall, well, then I transform into the fabulous Pink Tutu Sparkles!
It all started at university. I was in the ballet club, surrounded by incredible dancers and stunning tutus. It was just a whim - a fun activity for a university charity event – when I decided to try one on. You could say it was love at first twirl! The sheer delight of spinning and twirling in a perfect pink tutu, feeling like I could truly dance and be myself… it was magical!
Ever since that night, it's been my mission to share that joy with the world. From charity events to theatre shows, I perform wherever I can, sharing the magic of a perfect pink tutu. And trust me, my drag has taken me places - you could say I'm quite a seasoned traveller now! It’s taken me across the UK by train, on scenic coach journeys, and sometimes even in a chauffeured car (a little indulgence for this travelling queen!)
But there’s something about trains that brings me back to my inner child, remembering those days of school trips with friends, gazing out the window and dreaming. Plus, the seats are so comfortable to relax in while reading fashion magazines and catching up on all the latest trends!
Speaking of trends, the whole "pink tutu look" has taken off in the fashion world. Did you know you can even get pink tutus made out of sustainable materials now? They're even showing up on the catwalks! See, my darling, I told you it was magical.
