Darling readers! This Pink Tutu Sparkles has just arrived in Royal Leamington Spa, the most beautiful spa town, just overflowing with history and, of course, lots and lots of pink! It’s been a whirlwind of travel – can you believe, I caught the train from Birmingham New Street station, all decked out in my fabulous pink tulle, and I can't wait to tell you all about it!
Now, you know how I adore pink, and I’m always on the hunt for the most stunning shade to add to my wardrobe. And trust me, darling, this little spa town just screams "Pink!" The sunshine today is just a beautiful soft pink, and the roses everywhere are practically begging me to capture them in a selfie.
Before I dive into all the glorious details of Royal Leamington Spa, let’s have a quick catch-up about my journey. Travelling by train is the best! You’d think by now I’d have mastered the whole ‘packing-light’ thing, but let’s be honest – packing a showstopper tutu requires some serious luggage. Plus, you just can't leave out all those adorable pink accessories – think feather boas, sparkly headbands, and oh, the glitter, darlings, the GLITTER! But the journey itself was delightful. There’s nothing quite like gazing out of the window and spotting the most perfect shade of pink in a passing landscape! I have to say, I'm totally obsessed with a vintage-looking blush pink – I think I’ll have to see if I can add something in that shade to my collection.
But the highlight of the day was the arrival in Royal Leamington Spa, a town just begging to be explored! I was welcomed by the most incredible Victorian architecture and streets teeming with happy people. Now, let me tell you, this town is absolutely dripping with elegance – think beautiful old buildings and leafy green squares, the kind you just dream of sketching in your free time, wearing your absolute best pink ensemble, of course!
Of course, no visit to Royal Leamington Spa is complete without a trip to the Pump Rooms. And it did not disappoint. Honestly, darlings, it’s a haven of calm. It felt like stepping into another era, surrounded by ornate chandeliers and glittering tiles, the sound of delicate teacups clinking and, my personal favourite – the sweet melody of the grand piano playing those lovely old classics! And while you’re sipping your tea (or pink lemonade – what else!), do have a look around at the lovely details. It’s just fascinating to think how a little town that relied on its spring water back in the 1800s became this fabulous haven of beauty, sophistication, and pinkness!
Then, I wandered through the bustling Jephson Gardens, with its vibrant rose garden, and just enjoyed a beautiful moment surrounded by flowers of every imaginable shade. I mean, you can't deny a good old dose of nature makes even the most tired of hearts (and the most well-travelled pink tutu) feel fresh and inspired, can you, dearies?
And talking about inspiration, Royal Leamington Spa's not short on arts and culture. This town has theatres, ballet studios, museums… everything a queen could possibly need to fill a few days! There was a particular performance in the Royal Spa Centre that had my attention, featuring, wait for it...ballet! Honestly, I can't resist a bit of classical ballet, particularly when I hear about such talent in a place so pinktastic. Just you wait, darling, I have my tickets all ready for an evening of twirling delight and pink tutus galore!
But I can’t tell you all the secrets about Royal Leamington Spa! After all, it's a pink palace, and you simply must visit for yourself and soak up all its pinktastic energy. I'm definitely going to make sure I capture all the glorious sights with my new pink vintage Polaroid camera – I have the most fabulous filter, oh you should see it, so my pictures will have that delightful 1950s blush look – divine!
And what about the food, darlings? Oh, don't even get me started! Royal Leamington Spa is a true feast for the senses! Just when I think I can't squeeze in another pink cupcake or macaroon, this town throws a delicious challenge my way – so, I’m in. The best thing about Royal Leamington Spa is its commitment to fresh, local, and - you guessed it - PINK. This place is brimming with bakeries and cafes with a flair for the spectacular, creating some seriously eye-catching pink desserts. I even had the luck to come across a little cafe with an all-pink themed menu – honestly, every single dish had a delightful sprinkle of pink. Just what this Pink Tutu Queen was hoping for!
Tomorrow, I’ll be indulging in a lovely ballet class at one of the many studios around town. The chance to practice my leaps, twirls, and of course, the perfect Pink Tutu landing, is not to be missed. But for now, I’m off to enjoy a delicious cuppa at a cosy little tea room called the "Pink Teacup." I bet you can guess what colour teacup they use!
