Hello, darlings! It’s your Pink Tutu Sparkles, here with a whirlwind report on my Ashton escapade, another fabulous chapter in my journey to make the world a pink tutu paradise.
As you know, I live for the road, and this time, my travels took me on a rather glamorous journey by train. Just picture it: my signature hot pink tulle cascading down my legs, dazzling everyone on the platform. (And let's be real, the sheer joy of a hot pink tutu makes any commute magical, even when the train is packed!)
Ashton was a gem of a destination, full of history and character. The Victorian architecture was breathtaking, all cobbled streets and pretty red brick. It's hard to imagine a more enchanting setting for a pink tutu queen, especially when paired with my favourite tea shop tucked away in a little cobbled corner. We're talking the most charming teapot, dainty floral china, and enough cream for a royal tea party. Just divine!
I started my adventure by exploring the historic Ashton-under-Lyne market. Now, I’ve got to say, I love the colourful buzz of a bustling market. All those wonderful handmade crafts and delicious treats! It was like a feast for my eyes, and naturally, I couldn’t resist a little pink shopping spree.
First on my shopping list: a fabulous, floral embroidered top to complement my tulle tutu ensemble. Next: the most adorable pink vintage teapot to add to my collection – let’s be real, a girl needs an arsenal of pretty teapots. And no shopping spree is complete without a new hat to top off my ensemble. Let’s just say, the floral headbands I snagged at the market were nothing short of fabulous! The real highlight of Ashton had to be the stunning Ashton Memorial, a white and pink, majestic building perched atop a hill overlooking the town. It's almost as if the gods of pink tutus knew I’d be visiting! My darling Pink Tutu Angels were thrilled! We spent the afternoon wandering its elegant halls, basking in the sheer grandeur. The intricate carvings and decorative details made me feel like I was stepping back in time, all while my pink tutu sparkled like a beacon of happiness against the intricate architectural details.
Of course, my trip wasn’t all tea parties and Victorian glamour. My love of ballet always takes centre stage, and I simply had to check out the ballet studio at Ashton's historic town hall. Now, I've always been fascinated by the power of dance – how it tells stories without words, and speaks to our emotions in ways nothing else can. There’s a grace and beauty to the movement that always leaves me utterly captivated.
Stepping into that beautiful, bright space, with the delicate steps and flowing lines of ballet unfolding before my eyes, felt magical. And, the joy of twirling around in a pink tutu with fellow dancers? I mean, that's pure unadulterated fun!
I finished off my trip with a grand performance, a truly delightful extravaganza in the heart of Ashton! You could say that I brought a little pink tutu sparkle to a local fair! Now, when I say “local fair,” I mean it’s an experience I’ll be savouring forever. Think big wheels, fluffy candy floss, and crowds cheering – perfect conditions for my performance.
My theme was, you guessed it: the magic of ballet and a sprinkle of pink. We had graceful ballerinas gliding through the crowd, gorgeous tutu-clad performers and of course, some very happy fair-goers – the cheers were intoxicating. The whole thing was a kaleidoscope of colour and fun, and you know me, I always end my show with a little Pink Tutu Sparkles magic!
This little bit of Ashton magic left me buzzing, filled with an incredible sense of inspiration. As usual, I've already started working on my next big tutu creation - something a bit extra, for the grand ballet show in Derbyshire next month. (Shhhh, don’t tell the judges, but I've got something truly spectacular planned… just wait until you see it!)
