Hello, my fabulous friends! It’s your favourite pink-tutu-wearing drag queen, Pink Tutu Sparkles, here! Get ready to sparkle, because we’re taking a trip to the enchanting Wellington, New Zealand! 🎉

Now, you know me – I’m always looking for new adventures to sprinkle with a dash of pink magic! 💫 And Wellington has always been calling out to me. It’s a city full of culture, colour, and a vibrant energy that just begs for a pink tutu! 😉

But, before I whisk you away to this fabulous land, let me fill you in on the journey itself!

Oh, I’m a firm believer that train travel is the only way to really see the world! It's a chance to relax, marvel at the changing landscapes, and indulge in a spot of afternoon tea - which, of course, involves a mini pink-tutu cake. 🧁

I was utterly smitten with the sights and sounds of this journey! The English countryside whizzed past in a kaleidoscope of greens, blues, and golden hues. And, naturally, every time I glanced out the window, I saw the pinkest fluffy clouds swirling in the sky, just waiting to be twirled into a tutu. 🩰

As always, my fabulous ensemble for the train trip involved a perfectly pink tulle number, complete with a glittery, hand-sewn bodice and delicate pearl trim. I might have been tempted to spin around the carriage (the conductors were quite lovely and understanding, I must say!)

As I gazed at the changing landscape, a little pang of nostalgia crept in. After all, Wellington is a world away from my beloved Derbyshire. I was born and raised amidst the rolling hills, green meadows, and charming villages – a quintessentially British backdrop, perfect for picnics and afternoon strolls! But as much as I adore the classic beauty of home, the thrill of travel keeps me buzzing. ✈️

It’s been quite the journey, from that timid uni student in my lab coat who fell in love with a pink tutu (don’t ask, but it was a charity fundraiser!), to the drag queen sensation touring the globe! 🌏 But the magic has never faded – and the pursuit of pink tutus has only gotten bigger and bolder! 💖

Speaking of which…

From the moment I stepped off the train and felt the cool, crisp air on my face, I knew I was in for a treat! The city vibrates with this exciting mix of old and new, of historic charm and modern bustle. A little bit of London’s grand elegance, a touch of Australia’s laid-back charm, with a dash of that cheeky Kiwi spirit… and of course, that beautiful, lush green countryside everywhere you look! 🌿

Now, I don’t think there’s a more breathtaking botanical garden than this one. I just adore the way nature explodes in a riot of colour here. Vibrant rhododendrons, fragrant magnolias, and cascading wisteria all vying for your attention – but you know, they just couldn’t compete with the vibrant shade of pink I brought with me. 😜

Oh, let’s just say the photos turned out fantastic! I mean, with all the gorgeous blooms and lush greenery as a backdrop, it was practically begging for a twirling, pink-tutu-clad queen! 💖

And I definitely didn't disappoint. I found a beautiful spot in front of the enchanting rose garden, struck a few classic ballet poses, and even did a little spin! It was pure bliss!

Now, for those of you who know me well, you’ll understand that no trip is complete without a visit to a ballet studio! I've been a ballet fanatic since childhood, so you could say that I'm living my absolute best life! 💃 Wellington, however, took it to another level!

I took a drop-in class at a beautiful studio right by the harbour! I had never danced outdoors before – what a treat to feel the cool breeze on my face as we glided through the poses. It was almost as magical as wearing a new pink tutu for the first time! 💫

Speaking of which, let’s talk about outfits!

Now, for any true queen, the thrill of discovering new places means diving head-first into local fashion scenes! And, my darlings, Wellington, New Zealand did NOT disappoint! 🤩

My pink tutu arsenal is vast – and this time, I needed to create a new piece just for this vibrant city. Imagine a fluffy, lavish tulle skirt in a shimmering, sunset-kissed pink – that’s exactly what I crafted, with delicate sequins spilling down to my ankles and a touch of feathered charm around the hem! I simply couldn't resist adding a pair of glittery, rainbow-coloured high heels to finish the look. 🌈

I know I’ve mentioned it before, but my heart truly melts whenever I find that perfect pink tutu to match my mood! 💕 I simply can’t resist a bold splash of colour to complete every outfit! But, my dear readers, Wellington's cultural scene called for something truly unique. Something as exciting, dynamic, and bold as this enchanting city itself! ✨

And I've got to say, Wellington did not disappoint – this city truly understands the art of the grand entrance! ✨

Speaking of grand entrances, the reason I'm here in Wellington – it's showtime! Tonight I’ll be gracefully gracing the stage of a stunning, Victorian theatre – all pink-tutu-clad, and ready to sprinkle the auditorium with some magical sparkles! 💫

I’m beyond excited! I love the energy that comes with a stage, a spotlight, a roaring audience! You might even find a ballet or two in my act tonight – just a little reminder that my passion for the graceful dance moves with me everywhere. 🩰

This is what my life is about! Sharing a bit of my own unique spark with the world, spreading joy, glitter, and a touch of pink tutu magic – all wrapped in a fabulous package of love! 💖
