Belfast Calling: Pink Tutu Sparkles Takes on the Emerald Isle!
Hello darlings! It's your favourite Pink Tutu Queen, ready to whisk you off to the magical city of Belfast! Buckle up, it's going to be a whirlwind of sequins, sparkle, andā¦wait for itā¦pink tutus!
Remember how I was saying last week that I had this HUGE secret to spill? Well, here it is! You know I love a good railway adventure and this week I hopped on a grand train to Northern Ireland for a spot of magical fun in Belfast. Honestly, just picturing myself in a grand, antique carriage made of dark wood with comfy red velvet seats is enough to get me giddy. Who knew train travel could be so glamorous?
And did I mention my reason for the trip? My darling friends, the universe whispered in my ear and said āPink Tutu, time to take your sparkles to Belfast!" So naturally, I packed my glitziest pink tulle, my fanciest shoes (that were not my trusty, but utterly necessary, dancing flats, darling!), and even managed to squeeze my sparkly unicorn headband in my bag. Now, thereās something you might not know about me - Iām a sucker for a bit of magic, especially in Belfast! They say itās home to fairies and such, and I just can't resist a bit of mythical adventure.
As usual, the trip started off with a fabulous dose of fashion therapy in my favourite boutique back home in Derbyshire. You know me, can't head off on an adventure without a bit of sparkle! Honestly, how could you? My new fuchsia velvet top with the oversized sparkly bow looked so good on me, it was practically begging for a photo op with a stunning pink tutu. Which of course, it got!
Speaking of sparkles, I need to tell you all about my epic outfit for the night I was performing in Belfast. The theme was āGlamorous Night in the Theatreā and I went all out! You know me, nothing less than the best! I opted for a full-length, floor-sweeping gown in the most glorious shade of bubblegum pink. Imagine silk so soft you can barely feel it, and a million twinkling sequins scattered across the material. My sparkly hair piece - I just adore a dramatic look - completed the picture. My legs went straight into a fluffy, twirling ballerina pink tutu, the kind that makes me feel like a real fairy princess. Now, that's what I call an entrance!
Of course, no trip to Belfast is complete without a trip to the Grand Opera House! Can you imagine a more breathtaking, majestic space? All velvet seating, glistening chandeliers, and incredible architecture. Honestly, itās the kind of theatre that could make any drag queen feel like theyāre on stage with the Royal Ballet, right? And guess what? My lucky tutu was waiting for me on the stage of this beautiful theatre, as if she knew Iād be there!
Honestly, even the most serious, buttoned-up people would crack a smile in that place! But for a true Pink Tutu queen? Well, let's just say my spirit went on a joyous, pirouette-inducing adventure!
Speaking of adventures, let's chat about the best part - the people! The people of Belfast have a way about them - itās this incredible blend of friendliness and wit that makes you feel so welcome. We even bumped into a group of locals dressed as playful elves at the pub near the theatre. And guess what? They loved my sparkly pink tutu so much, they pulled out their own fairy wings for a photo!
I spent the rest of the week discovering the hidden corners of Belfast with a local group of my biggest fans, a wonderfully talented bunch with enough wit to keep me laughing. We went on a fairytale walking tour where we followed stories of hidden folklore in every corner of the city, discovered the most charming little cafe tucked away in a corner where we chatted about life, love and of course, tutus, and had a most fabulous day strolling through the Belfast Botanical Gardens! My outfit that day? You guessed it, a perfectly pink dress, a pastel pink tutu, and of course, my pink and purple sparkly trainers.
Let me tell you, those Belfast Botanical Gardens were breathtaking. I mean, who knew such magical beauty existed in Northern Ireland? You literally feel like you're walking through a storybook! Every twist and turn revealed a different magical flower bed.
But for a Pink Tutu queen like me, itās not all about flowers, no, no! This week also saw me in full Pink Tutu glory on the legendary cobblestone streets of Belfast. You bet your sequins, thereās an Instagram photo to prove it! With every click, I could feel the love and encouragement of every pink-loving, tutu-wearing queen, king, or whoever you may be, pouring into my sparkly spirit. You betcha! It was magic, honey!
I even managed to squeeze in some much-needed Pink Tutu dance classes! Yes, Belfast knows how to bring the tutus, darling! We twirled and pirouetted for hours with some absolutely dazzling, bubbly dance instructors. This was one of my highlights of the week, you just canāt beat the energy, joy, and freedom of a dance class! Itās why I love ballet. And, you guys, even got the most incredible pink ballet skirt to twirl with the class in. It was so gorgeous! Imagine the softest, pinkest tulle with sparkles and lace! Swoon!
Belfast you really do steal my heart every time I visit. My love for this place is as deep as the colour of a ripe watermelon on a sunny summerās day. Oh, but let me remind you, there is no better colour than pink, even a summer's day in pink would look better.
Belfast, until next time!
Stay fabulous and twirl your way through life with as much glitter and glamour as you can manage,
Yours truly,

Pink Tutuās Little Secret: My Trip to Belfast with my favourite fabric shop!
A lot of people probably donāt know that when Iām not donning a glittery pink tutu and prancing about, you can find me doing something completely different - in a science lab! Yes, by day, Alex (the woman behind Pink Tutu) works with a range of textiles to try and get them to look even better and feel even nicer. I like to think of myself as a bit of a superhero, a magical pink tutu weaving textile alchemist, making fabrics feel smoother, look better, and last longer. You wouldn't think science could be so fabulous, would you?
So naturally, one of the highlights of my trip was a secret mission to a hidden textile store. Iām a bit secretive about it all, just you wait, one day you'll be wearing my magic touch on the fabrics in your favourite shop. Honestly, even I couldnāt believe it was hiding there! It was filled with every colour and texture you could imagine! You'd be amazed how a textile queen can get lost in a mountain of sparkly sequins! It made me realize even science is connected to my life's passion - tutus! And I love the thought that what I do every day could bring a little sparkle to the clothes you wear, and even maybe a bit of tutu magic!
Now, how about a sprinkle of those magical pink sequins on you all! Have any of you been to Belfast, or Northern Ireland? Whatās your favourite colour to wear, besides pink of course, darling? Let me know in the comments below!
