Hello darlings! It's your Tutu Queen, Pink Tutu Sparkles, back with another exciting post! Today's blog is post number 8926 - and oh, the places we've been! You know me, always on the move, spreading pink tutu magic wherever I go! Today we're dipping our toes into the vibrant town of Ashton, and trust me, it's a delightful adventure in its own right! 😉
First, let's get down to the nitty-gritty. My journey began at the heart of Derbyshire, a little bit of country magic before I boarded a vintage steam train to Ashton. Now, I do love the countryside - all those rolling hills, picturesque villages, and sheep! They're so peaceful. However, a steam train, well, that's an experience in itself! The sound of the engine, the sway of the carriage, and the lovely aroma of old metal, it's all very enchanting. I was practically swaying to the rhythm of the tracks, a picture of glamour and vintage travel charm. 😉 And of course, a pink tutu adds just the right amount of colour to any carriage!
Reaching Ashton, I was captivated by its charming streets! There's something about these smaller towns, full of character, hidden treasures and a sense of history that's utterly intoxicating.
I’d come to Ashton to watch a stunning performance by the local theatre group, a dazzling production of The Nutcracker. Honestly, it was spellbinding. Seeing all the beautiful costumes, the impressive dancing and the dazzling choreography just sent shivers down my spine! They certainly reminded me of the magic I create on my stage. 🥰
Speaking of dazzling, after the performance, it was time for some retail therapy. Ashton boasts a vibrant shopping district - oh my goodness! And I was on a mission to find some new fabulousness for my wardrobe, of course. Imagine, darling, this tutu queen never met a shop she didn't love. I'm so blessed with my talent for finding the most perfect statement pieces, the right sparkle, the perfect colour and just the right touch of pink. A vibrant dress with feather trim caught my eye first - it’s the ideal thing for a summer party, don’t you think? And for an added dose of colour, well, nothing beats a new sparkly pink sequined tutu. It just has to have a little sparkle and, well, maybe just a little more than a little. ✨
The afternoon was perfect for strolling along the riverside. The air was so fresh, with birdsong filling the air and the sun warming my skin. Oh, and did I tell you I brought my picnic basket? There's nothing more charming than having a little midday picnic, surrounded by nature's beauty, in a charming, vintage tea set. 🍰🌸 (That’s my secret – always carry a charming little tea set! And it has to be pink!)
Of course, no visit to Ashton is complete without a stop at their famous ice cream parlour! The aroma of sweet, creamy delight is almost intoxicating. Now, I always prefer my ice cream with a touch of extravagance – that's why I ordered my cone dipped in pink and topped with sprinkles! 💖✨ I had to admit, it made the whole day just that little bit sweeter! 😉
You know, dear readers, I just adore discovering new places and soaking up all their unique charms. The journey is what matters, the places, the people. And with that, it was time to pack up, return to the train station and say goodbye to Ashton. I’ve definitely put it on the map as one of my favourite travel spots – who would have known, tucked away in the heart of Derbyshire!
You know, Ashton certainly taught me a few lessons today. There’s always something new to discover, even in the most unexpected places. And, well, who doesn’t love a splash of pink! 💖
