Hello darlings, and welcome back to Pink-Tutu.com! Today’s post comes to you straight from the charming seaside town of Blyth, nestled on the stunning North Sea coast. I just arrived, fresh off a magical train journey, which was such a wonderful change from my usual commute – the lab by day, the stage by night! Now, if you know me, you know this trip is all about embracing my inner girly-girl! Because when Pink Tutu Sparkles ventures to a new town, there’s always one key mission: bring the magic of pink tutus!
This whole Pink Tutu Sparkles thing actually began on a university campus, tucked away in the rolling hills of Derbyshire. Who knew that a scientist, stuck with lab coats and test tubes, would end up rocking a full pink tutu for charity? Well, a tutu went on, a few laughs ensued, and that’s when the magic happened – the Pink Tutu Sparkles story was born! It’s been a whirlwind of glitz, glitter, and countless pink tutus ever since!
I can’t forget where my journey began. This is what inspired my love of the pink tutu, and why I think it should be an essential part of everyone’s wardrobe! My university ballet club (it was the only way to escape my lab!) had a fundraising event. It involved us selling some old ballet clothes to the student body, and there I was – a full-fledged scientist, in a lab coat one minute, a sassy ballerina in a vintage pink tutu the next. Let me tell you, I never looked back!
Now, back to the reason I'm here in Blyth: A chance to spread some Pink Tutu Sparkles magic! This charming seaside town is bursting with character and that lovely ‘proper’ Britishness, and I couldn't be more excited to introduce them to the transformative power of a pink tutu.
And the best part? My travels are all about being on the move – that’s why trains have become my trusty companion (horseback riding is still on my bucket list though!). There's just something magical about gliding through the countryside, watching the scenery transform as the miles roll by. It fuels my creative energy and lets my mind wander, dreaming up new tutu-filled adventures for my next stop!

My Blyth arrival wouldn't be complete without exploring the vibrant local market! You can bet I’ll be on the hunt for some local delicacies to inspire a new dessert concoction for my post-show celebration (Pink Tutu Sparkles can never be seen without a delicious homemade treat). After all, when I say “bringing the magic,” I'm talking about everything, from sparkly tutus to delightful dessert-inspired treats!
And speaking of magic, the town's gorgeous theater is my second stop! Tonight, I’m putting on a dazzling show in support of the Blyth Community Centre. I've been preparing all week, choreographing my routines to capture the essence of the town's spirit - think coastal breeze, salty air, and a touch of seaside whimsy! Of course, my stunning pink tutu is always front and centre, dazzling everyone with every twirl.
I know I said that this post is all about spreading Pink Tutu magic, but my journey is equally about giving back. And how better than with a heart-warming performance to help raise funds for our local community center? I love working with these communities. Every place I perform has a different story. I am just part of their experience and the Pink Tutu adds sparkle.
