Hello, darlings! Itâs Pink Tutu Sparkles here, your favourite pink-tutu-wearing queen, and I'm back with another exciting post from my fabulous travels! Today Iâm sharing with you all about my latest escapade, a trip to the beautiful seaside town of Bridlington. You might know Bridlington for its charming harbour, the impressive Bridlington Priory, and its stunning beaches - but you might not know it as a pink tutu hotspot!
Now, letâs be real. My love affair with pink tutus is no secret. Ever since I donned my first one back in uni â remember, charity event for the uni ballet club, trying to raise funds for a trip to see âThe Nutcrackerâ - it's been a life-changing, sparkly, feather-boasting journey! Honestly, if I could, I'd have every single person on the planet rocking a pink tutu. Whatâs better than pink? I ask you!
Bridlington is the perfect spot to embrace my inner pink tutu princess. It's the perfect blend of old-world charm and vibrant seaside life, making it the perfect place to spread the joy of the pink tutu! Let's just say the locals are all very nice and love to have fun with pink, and that's always a win in my book.
Now, as usual, my trip to Bridlington started with a journey on the railway â a quintessential English experience! As I sat in my comfy seat (oh, wouldnât it have been amazing if everyone on the train wore a pink tutu!) gazing out at the scenery passing by, I started to plan out all the fab things I was going to do while I was there. I had it all in my head: I'd be rocking a pink tutu while taking photos at the beach, grabbing fish and chips from the seaside cafes and yes, even trying a go at riding a donkey! The Bridlington promenade, the pier - oh the pink tutu possibilities were endless!
First Stop: Beach Glamour
After settling in at a lovely little guest house, I headed straight to the beach! A sea breeze in my hair, the scent of salt air on my nose and a pink tutu flowing in the wind - couldn't get much more divine! For those of you who don't know, my trusty pink tutu doesnât travel without my âGlam Tutu Bag.â (This is a must have for every tutu queen. I highly recommend it!) Packed inside are all the essential bits for the ultimate pink tutu transformation â think hairspray, fake eyelashes, a whole range of lipsticks (must-have pink, obviously!) a mirror and enough glitter to dazzle a whole discotheque. The glamour goes wherever I go!
While I was perfecting my pink tutu look and prepping my social media for a glorious pink tutu-tastic picture of myself against the backdrop of the bright blue sky, a lovely bunch of locals came over, delighted with my choice of dress and even offering to take a photo of me on their phone! Itâs always wonderful when I see a flash of recognition â the genuine enjoyment, the appreciation, the sense of joy that spreads from my pink tutu and into their lives. That's the true magic of pink tutus, making others smile with pure, unadulterated happiness!
The Bridlington Pier: A Tutu Princess Paradise!
The iconic Bridlington Pier had been beckoning to me since I stepped off the train. It's just the kind of place youâd find a pink tutu princess, isn't it? The sound of the seagulls, the smell of the salty air, the amusement park rides, oh it all screamed pink tutu vibes! So, off I sashayed, pink tutu swirling, to experience the magic of the pier.
You can't have a pink tutu day without an obligatory sea side photo, can you? My friends, the pink tutu in me couldn't resist an impromptu photo shoot in front of a giant, blue sky! And as the sun set over the waves and the vibrant colors of the evening sky cast long, pink shadows, the air around me just buzzed with joy. This is what it's all about!
The day culminated in an impromptu street performance on the pier. Letâs face it, I've always been a huge fan of performance! Itâs just my thing, you know. I took out my glittery speakers (donât forget a disco ball if you ever plan on having a street performance), cued up a fabulous track â it had to be âYou Should Be Dancingâ - and BAM! - Pink Tutu Sparkles was in the house! It was pure fun. Lots of people stopping to watch, kids smiling with amazement. Honestly, I didnât get paid a penny, but my spirit felt so full, so alive!
And then there was the foodâŚoh, the food! What would a trip to a seaside town be without fish and chips, right? This time, though, it wasn't just any fish and chips. No! This was an experience! Wrapped in a pink paper, and topped with pink edible glitter (I told you I am a big fan of pink!), this had to be one of the best pink tutu experiences I've ever had.
A Pink Tutu Adventure to Remember!
Well, my lovely pink tutu queens and kings, I could go on forever about Bridlington! What a delightful place full of so much warmth, beauty, and friendliness! Every second in my pink tutu felt like magic.
To wrap it all up, let's be honest: every pink tutu adventure has the potential to become an unforgettable experience. Whether you're strutting along a beach in the sun, waltzing on the pier in the breeze, or creating a whirlwind of laughter in a local street performance, pink tutus always add a touch of joy, glitter, and a whole lot of pink happiness to any journey.
