Hey lovelies! ?
It’s your girl Pink Tutu Sparkles, here with blog post number 9010 (I can’t believe I’m at that many already!) and guess what? I’m off on a whirlwind adventure again! This time, my sparkly stilettos are headed to the charming market town of Melton Mowbray.
Yes, you heard that right. Me, your favourite pink tutu-clad queen, taking on the Leicestershire countryside! To be honest, I haven't been to the Midlands in ages (well, other than a cheeky visit to my Mum and Dad in Derbyshire). So I’m absolutely thrilled to be bringing my sparkly, rainbow-hued magic to this delightful corner of England.
You might be wondering, how did Melton Mowbray end up on my travel itinerary? Well, it's a rather serendipitous story. You know me, I’m always looking for new adventures and a bit of magic wherever I go, and this little town is full of both. From its historical roots and delicious food heritage to the stunning countryside that surrounds it, Melton Mowbray has truly captured my heart (and my Instagram feed).
The main draw this time? You won’t believe this – but a Ballet Competition!!
Now, you all know how I love ballet, right? Every single time I get the chance to see a performance or take a class, it fills me with absolute joy! It's so graceful, elegant, and just downright magical, and let's be honest – those tutu skirts are just breathtaking.
So imagine my excitement when I stumbled upon a massive ballet competition being held in the heart of Melton Mowbray. As soon as I heard about it, I knew I had to be there! It just felt like a little nudge from the universe telling me it was time to expand my horizons, glitter up this lovely town and… well… wear a fabulous tutu to an amazing ballet competition!
Oh, and can you guess who I’ll be rooting for? That’s right – the little ones with the sparkliest costumes! If I had a daughter (or son), they’d definitely be out there twirling in a fluffy pink tutu, taking the stage by storm. Just imagine the absolute joy in their eyes when they’re in their costumes and feeling that magical ballet magic.
You might think a town like Melton Mowbray isn't your typical drag scene, but believe me – it's got a whole lot of potential! The locals have been so warm and welcoming, I can tell this is going to be an absolutely fabulous experience. I even managed to squeeze in some time for a cheeky chat with the lovely folks at a local theatre, and they are as excited about my visit as I am! The energy is electric.
But wait! There's more! Melton Mowbray isn’t just a haven for ballet lovers like myself. This charming market town has a few other secrets up its sleeve…
First off – the food. Did you know Melton Mowbray is famous for its pork pies? They say they're some of the finest in all of Britain, and guess what? You’ve got to trust me on this – I’m a true gourmand (even if I do spend most of my evenings twirling in sequins and feathers!) So if you’re a fan of savory goodness, be sure to add the Melton Mowbray Pork Pie to your itinerary.
You also have to try the Stilton! And yes, I’m already imagining myself strolling through the local market stalls, scooping up the finest cheese from friendly, local vendors. It just makes sense, doesn't it? A Queen like me must sample all the local delicacies – especially when it's this good.
And who better to share all my favourite local finds with than you? As you’ve been my loyal readers and viewers, you can be sure I’ll be posting ALL the details from my delicious food explorations. Keep an eye out for my stories on Instagram and TikTok - you’ll see pictures of the pies, cheese, and (maybe) a few cute cows I’ll meet along the way. Because I know how much you guys love a good animal sighting, just like I do!
But enough about the deliciousness. Melton Mowbray is a real beauty! From its cobbled streets to its charming historical architecture, this town is overflowing with quaint little corners perfect for grabbing a selfie. That's right, darling, expect an abundance of Insta-worthy moments, captured through the prism of my pink tutus!
Oh, and of course, no visit to the English countryside is complete without a touch of green. So, I’ll definitely be spending some quality time with nature, soaking in the fresh air, admiring the verdant landscapes and enjoying the peaceful vibes. And who knows? Maybe I'll even encounter some furry friends along the way. I'm open to a friendly horse and cart ride! Just picture it - Pink Tutu Sparkles riding through the countryside, in a pink tutu, with the sun on her face, and a lovely steed to guide the way… magical!
This time I'm hoping to spend the week here, exploring every nook and cranny, indulging in the local charm and, of course, rocking some fabulous outfits – I mean, what is a queen without her fashion statement?
I'm going to go full out, darlings – you’re talking head-to-toe pink with all the sparkle you can imagine. From those sparkling pink ballet shoes (that I know I’ll just love twirling in!), to the vibrant pink tutu that matches my fabulous hair (pink with glitter, obvs!) … it’s going to be a total look, a total fashion masterpiece, that even the Queen herself (with a capital Q) would envy.
My suitcase is packed with all my favourite things: sequins, feathers, the biggest pink bows, and, of course, my beloved tutus. Let’s face it – no trip is complete without at least 12 tutus for every possible outfit – after all, it's a Queen's essential accessory.
While we’re at it, why don't we have a little pink tutu challenge for you guys? Post a picture of yourself wearing your favourite tutu (the more sparkly and pink, the better!), and tag me on your socials. I can't wait to see your creative looks! Let’s celebrate all things pink and spread that joyful magic wherever we go.
This whole experience feels like a delightful fairy tale. I can't wait to show you the highlights, share my adventures with you, and inspire a little pink tutu magic in everyone’s lives along the way. Remember, it's all about finding your own spark, embracing your individuality, and having a little fun!
So, until my next post from my exciting Leicestershire escapade, stay sparkly and stay fab! And remember, a pink tutu always brightens up the day! ?
Love,
Your Queen ???, Pink Tutu Sparkles (aka Alex, but only on my days off!)
