Nottingham Nights: Pink Tutu Sparkles' Pink Paradise! 🩰💖

Hey darlings! It’s your girl, Pink Tutu Sparkles, back with another glittering blog post, straight from the heart of Nottingham!

This is post number 9035, and you know what they say, every day is a new pink tutu adventure! 🎉

Today, I'm positively bursting with excitement, because not only is Nottingham one of the prettiest cities I’ve ever visited, I’ve finally conquered my fear of horses (don’t worry, the only galloping I did was on the Nottingham tram!).

Oh, but I’m getting ahead of myself! Where did I leave you? Ah yes, last week we were gallivanting through the streets of Edinburgh, taking in the Fringe Festival! The atmosphere was electric, and let me tell you, my pink tutu had a blast twirling among the crowds. Honestly, you wouldn’t believe the looks we got!

Of course, I always wear my sparkly tiara when travelling (it just wouldn’t be right without it!). So naturally, we attracted attention. Everyone was so friendly though. I even bumped into a group of ballet students who were totally smitten with my sparkly pink outfit! And let’s be honest, I wasn't shy about showing off a few graceful twirls in my favorite pink tutu…for charity, naturally.

So, now back to the fabulously vibrant Nottingham. To get here, I rode in style on a gorgeous old-fashioned train, where I practically lived in my carriage, watching the English countryside zip by. What a journey!

Upon my arrival, the city itself greeted me with open arms and a truly enchanting vibe. The streets are packed with gorgeous buildings, friendly pubs and a sense of history that just draws you in. And speaking of history, let’s not forget the amazing Nottingham Castle, perched atop that glorious hill overlooking the whole city. Absolutely breathtaking, just like my favourite tutu! 💖

The journey was definitely worth it, though, as I had a gig at a fantastic little cabaret venue called ‘The Grand Ballroom’ – complete with mirrored ball and sparkly dancefloor, of course! It was a perfect night for the Queen of Pink Tutues to strut her stuff! The crowd loved my sparkly show, especially my signature move (a fabulous split while holding a giant pink feather boa – always gets a roar of applause!).

My favorite part of the show was during my signature pink tutu ballad: ‘Pink Clouds of Love’. For that song, I wear a special tutu adorned with twinkling LED lights, creating a shimmering halo as I twirl on stage. And of course, I can’t forget the shimmering pink costume. Just picture me, draped in a sequined, bright pink gown with ruffles that billowed as I twirled. Honestly, it was a dream.

Before taking to the stage, though, I took some time to wander around the beautiful city. Nottingham has an amazing selection of shops and boutiques. My day trip wouldn’t be complete without an hour spent trying on beautiful pink things in one of Nottingham's wonderful vintage shops. Honestly, it was a total Pink Paradise! It took all my willpower to resist the temptation to buy everything! (Thankfully, the shop assistants were so sweet and even let me wear a huge pink feather boa while shopping!)

My travels aren't always glamorous though. You know me – a good vintage pink tutu can be found anywhere! One of my favourite stops was a dusty little antique shop crammed with forgotten treasures, where I snagged a stunning pink tutu for just five pounds! Just imagine, a genuine 1950s ballerina’s tutu – all frills and sparkle for a fiver! It's practically a steal, right?! Now it's the latest star of my stage show – the perfect ensemble for a jazzy, upbeat dance routine that I just know will rock your world! 🩰

Talking of world-rocking, there’s nothing like watching a beautiful ballet show. Here in Nottingham, I had the most extraordinary experience! My friends had recommended a special outdoor show held right in the city's central square. We bundled up and waited, all the excitement of the twinkling city lights around us. They’re known for their magnificent performances, but honestly, this one just took my breath away. Imagine my delight when I found myself mesmerized by the artistry and grace on stage, and even got the chance to twirl my own pink tutu at the intermission – you know, for good luck!

And I really, really, truly wanted good luck. You know how it is – I wanted to leave Nottingham, this beautiful pink paradise, with a little magic sprinkled in. My hope was to be able to continue my love of travel, bringing my love of all things pink and sparkling to every corner of the UK and beyond. Of course, I’m a big fan of riding the train, as much as I adore trotting about on a magnificent, pink-nosed horse, with a rainbow-coloured ribbon flowing from its mane, like a creature straight out of a fairytale! You never know what adventures are just around the corner! ✨

I had an amazing time in Nottingham and already miss its enchanting charm! But you know me, darling – I’m always on the move, so check in with www.pink-tutu.com every day to catch all the action of my amazing pink adventures, filled with vibrant pink delights!

So remember, every day can be an exciting pink adventure – don’t be afraid to express your sparkle! 😉
