Hello my gorgeous tutu-loving darlings! It's your girl, Pink Tutu Sparkles, signing in from the glorious city of Coventry! And let me tell you, my tutus have been TWIRLING with excitement ever since I booked this show! I simply cannot get enough of travelling the UK in search of the most fabulous dance floors and, of course, the best tutu-wearing audiences!
Remember last week, my darlings? I told you about how I just had to hop on a train to get to this beautiful, historic town. Well, guess what? That journey was like stepping into a storybook! First, I had to find the perfect tutu for the occasion - obviously! My pink polka-dot masterpiece just screamed "Coventry, I'm ready to shine!" Then, a spot of lunch at a charming little café where I had a scrumptious sausage roll. I couldn't resist picking up a few of those yummy fudge squares too. Don’t worry, they're pink! 😋
Now, my darling friends, if you know me, you know how much I love a good horse ride. Well, this time, my travels got even more exciting when I was offered the chance to ride on the back of a horse-drawn carriage. It was a bit of a "whirlwind" (pun intended, of course!) journey to get there, but trust me, the view of the ancient city of Coventry as I trundled down those quaint cobbled streets was utterly enchanting! Just picture it: pink tutu twirling, horse hooves clopping, laughter echoing through the air… pure magic, darlings!
But you know what? The REAL magic was in the performance itself. The atmosphere was electric, and I absolutely loved the crowd! They were so receptive and energetic! And just seeing their smiles, especially those of the little ones who were completely entranced by my dazzling show – that was the real reason I do what I do! ✨
My setlist, darlings, well, let's just say it was pure Pink Tutu perfection! I'm talking about everything from classics like "I Wanna Dance with Somebody" to a medley of pop anthems. Honestly, the crowd was roaring! There was such a mix of music that it felt like everyone was having the time of their lives, Even the folks who weren't dancing were tapping their feet along. 🎶
Oh, and before I forget – there was this fantastic group of ladies who came up to me afterwards, their eyes practically twinkling with excitement! They told me all about how much they love to go to the ballet – a girl after my own heart! So, we started chatting about the best places in the city to go watch performances, the history of the ballet and, of course, my favorite topic – tutus! It felt so great to meet these fabulous ladies.
As the evening drew to a close, and I packed away my sparkling pink crown and tutu (let's face it, those sequins do need a good dusting sometimes!), I couldn't help but feel completely thrilled. Coventry had lived up to every one of my pinkest expectations! I made some fantastic friends, I had a blast entertaining everyone and I’ve definitely added this city to my list of “tutu-must-visits!”
