Helloooo darlings! Your favourite Pink Tutu Princess, Pink Tutu Sparkles herself, is back with another fabulous blog post, and this time I'm thrilled to share all the sparkly details about my latest adventure: Blackburn!
This northern gem is definitely earning a place on my list of must-visit spots. I’ve just come from a whirlwind performance at a charity fundraiser, leaving a sprinkle of pink sparkle dust all over the stage, of course! And now, I’m sitting at a cosy little café with a delicious slice of cake and a pot of strong tea. Oh, the delights of a life on the road, my loves!
Now, let’s rewind a little. My journey to Blackburn was truly magical, just the way I like it. I decided to make this trip a bit of a romantic adventure, travelling the scenic way by… drum roll … train! I adore train journeys. They are the ultimate way to take in the countryside, observe all the charming towns and villages whizzing past. It feels a bit like being on a movie set, doesn't it? All those rolling hills and charming station stops just beg to be transformed into a musical number in a delightful fairy tale.
Speaking of delightful… let's talk fashion! As you know, a good Tutu Queen never misses a chance to flaunt a fab new look. My Blackburn outfit? Divine! A bubblegum pink satin tutu with delicate lilac tulle ruffles - perfectly matched with a sparkling hot pink halter top adorned with pearl buttons and a touch of rhinestones, topped off with a fluffy pink feather boa that bounced and swirled with every step! Of course, my make-up was on point - think shimmering silver eyes and lips the colour of a raspberry lollipop. You wouldn't catch me leaving the house looking less than fabulous, darling!
Now, back to Blackburn! It was truly amazing. Imagine the feeling: stepping out of my chauffeured pink vintage car in front of the town hall and being greeted by excited faces, music blaring, and the delightful aroma of freshly made popcorn. That’s the energy Blackburn brought to my show! This community clearly embraces joy, colour, and everything glamorous - just like me!
During my set, the whole room was abuzz with energy. The music had the whole crowd singing and clapping along! It’s hard to explain how absolutely joyous it felt to watch my sparkle land on their faces, knowing I brought them some extra glittery happiness for the evening. It truly feels like magic, my darlings. That's what makes being a Pink Tutu Queen so fulfilling.
After my performance, the organisers treated me to a backstage tea party filled with adorable finger sandwiches, tiny cupcakes (which, by the way, did contain pink frosting!), and, of course, more delicious cakes. What more could a girl ask for?!
Now, before you go thinking my trip was just a big old dress-up session and cake fest (though, who could argue with that, really?!), let’s not forget my purpose. As a true Tutu Queen, it is my mission to spread the joy, the sparkle, the joy of dance, the happiness, the empowerment - and yes, the power of the pink tutu, everywhere I go! And let me tell you, my darlings, Blackburn certainly got the memo! From the little ones with wide eyes to the grown-ups clapping their hearts out, everyone embraced the pink tutu spirit, leaving me feeling completely and utterly loved.
