Last week I was nestled in my little flat in Derbyshire, sipping tea and dreaming of grand stage lights. Suddenly, a message popped up on my phone, a shimmer of excitement in the digital space. This was a no-brainer, but my sweet loves, you know me - everything is a little more extravagant in Pink Tutu Sparkles’ world. So, I opted for the train journey. Yes, I love the glamour of high-speed rail. There’s something about settling into my compartment, a plush seat and a well-chosen (and meticulously coordinated) pink outfit. I had my travel snacks, of course - pink bonbons and pink iced cupcakes for a touch of girly delight. 🧁 But I was also packing a serious power punch for the performance - two suitcases overflowing with dazzling pink tutu costumes, enough sequins to sparkle a small galaxy and the latest dance choreography printed on pastel-pink paper (because who wouldn't want to rehearse on the train?). 💃
And then, there was the magic of arriving at Wembley Stadium. The sheer scale of the place is just phenomenal. It feels like the centre of the universe, and I get to shine my pink tutu spotlight there! Talk about the dream come true, darlings. 🤩
Before I could dive into the thrill of performing at the legendary Wembley stage, a little bit of shopping therapy was definitely in order. Let's be honest, every queen needs to stock up on the right accessories for a performance, right? 🛍️ My hunt took me to some of the most exciting shops London had to offer - I found the perfect glittery hairpiece, a shimmering shawl for my performance and even a set of pink fluffy bunny ears (you never know what a pink tutu queen might need for the show!).
Of course, no London trip would be complete without a little culture. I have a special fondness for ballet, so we squeezed in a visit to the Royal Opera House. Seeing dancers grace the stage with such fluidity and precision is a true joy. You know, my love for tutus started with ballet, back in my university days. Remember, I'm a scientist by day, but by night, the magic of the tutu takes over! 🔬💃 You can imagine my absolute glee when a fellow student, wearing a pink tutu, encouraged me to give it a try. Well, the rest is history, my love. The first time I wore a pink tutu... that's when it all started! 🤩

Oh, I almost forgot to mention: The highlight of my Wembley adventure has been the warm welcome.
