Hello my darling darlings! It's your favourite pink-loving, tutu-touting, queen of the sparkly, Pink Tutu Sparkles here! And let me tell you, darling, Crewe is the perfect stop on my tour! Now, I know what you're thinking. Crewe? You bet your bottom dollar, it's not exactly a hub for high fashion, but don't be fooled by appearances. My fabulous instincts are rarely wrong, and my inner sparkly goddess knew this town was full of untapped sparkle waiting to be unleashed!
As a self-proclaimed ambassador of pink (and who doesn't love pink? It's like a hug for your eyes, right? 💖), I have to share my journey! From the moment I boarded the train (yes, darling, a vintage steam train! Can you believe it? Talk about a fairytale beginning) I knew this was going to be a truly spectacular experience. I just love train journeys. There's something so exciting about travelling through the countryside.
As I sat on the train in my trusty pink velvet blazer (it was chilly out!), I let my imagination twirl (couldn't help myself! It was so fabulous) about what fabulous performances lay ahead. Maybe there'd be a charming, pink-loving gentleman, a shy teenager in a secret tutu club, or a group of sassy, sequin-loving ladies. You never know! The beauty of travel, darling, is discovering new sparkle in unexpected places.
The Pink Tutu Experience: Unleashing the Sparkle!
Arriving in Crewe, it was time for a proper grand entrance, and I've always believed that a good performance is about building anticipation before the curtain goes up. So, I opted for a grand entrance in a pink open-top horse drawn carriage. (Because what's more grand, right?) And guess what? The local children in their bright school uniforms waved at me and some even started twirling their fingers like a dancer! My heart melted, darlings! Just one little tutu queen helping ignite the spark in the hearts of the next generation!
The horse pulling the carriage? Well, I’d like to name him Sparkle , because you guessed it, his entire body was covered in the most dazzling pink glitter you've ever seen! And I was the princess riding, my pink tutu billowing in the breeze, a magnificent spectacle if you ever saw one! You’re welcome Crewe, darling!
After a whirlwind tour, which included the grand opening of The Pink Tutu Tea Room (don't worry, it was just for a day), I found myself on stage for my show at The Palace Hotel.
Crewe is a Treasure Trove
But here’s the thing, Crewe doesn’t just boast a sparkling spirit, but true historical treasures too. We have the amazing Crewe Hall with its iconic gardens (so pink and floral it’s a sight to behold) and of course The Royal Arcade. Now, I'm no historian darling, but just strolling down the arcade you feel like you’re walking back in time. The craftsmanship and architectural details are stunning! Plus, it’s a shopaholics’ delight! There's some fabulous boutiques I have to share, but shhh... it's our secret!
Bringing The Magic Of Ballet To The Stage
Of course, my evening performance was spectacular, with a crowd of fabulous people, full of energy and laughter. I absolutely love getting the crowd going! My favourite act? Why, it has to be my signature ballet routine! It’s just pure joy to express myself through movement, all in that iconic pink tutu! For me, ballet is a language all its own, one I truly understand and adore. I find myself enchanted by its artistry even more so since becoming obsessed with ballet, both as an artist and as a enthusiastic audience member.
Let’s just say I got swept away by ballet's beauty long before it became cool. You see, my fascination with pink and tutus all started with a fateful trip to the university ballet club back in my science days! Now, let me tell you, ballet classes were the ultimate stress buster during those demanding years. The grace, the elegance, the passion for performance? Oh, I could get lost in those elegant twirls! Of course, a pink tutu for charity didn’t hurt either. But, who wouldn't fall in love with a pink tutu, darling?
Now, I perform in tutus in all kinds of styles, including, of course, a ballet-inspired sequence. It's a way to blend two of my favourite worlds, bringing the classic grace and elegance of ballet to my own fun and energetic style. And when I dance in front of the audience, you can bet I give all the pink I've got!
A Pink Tutu Day Out
