The train journey down was divine, with panoramic views of the rolling hills. And honestly, nothing screams "pink tutu perfection" more than rocking a fabulous new frock and matching fascinator on a luxurious train journey. 😉
Right, let's get to the point - Leamington Spa. It’s so perfect for a glamorous weekend trip. First off, the architecture here is just incredible – stunning Victorian buildings all over the place. It's like a fairytale, darling. And let's not forget the Royal Pump Rooms! The historic significance just shimmers, darling, but for me, it was the incredible chandeliers, perfect for catching every sparkle in my costume. I'm talking "twinkle twinkle, little star" but make it FABULOUS! ⭐️

Let's be honest, this town knows how to party! It's so London vibes but without the, shall we say, intensity of it all? And, darlings, you already know where this queen landed: the Royal Spa Centre. A venue known for its glamour, and yes, it’s home to ballet classes! 🩰 Now you might be thinking, “Alex, the spa? Aren’t you supposed to be a scientist? How about a bit of science fun instead?!” But seriously, my darlings, it's ALL about balance! The tutu brings me joy, so my science just gives me another avenue for sparkly outfits! 😉
My favourite tutu has become part of the equipment in the science lab - I call her my "pink science tutu" - it's the ultimate laboratory fashion statement! Think white lab coat, pink tutu, and oversized lab glasses! You'd think the scientists in the lab would think it's bonkers, but they get the pink tutu vibe now - they actually call her ‘Miss Sparkles' - darling! Honestly, a testament to how inclusive the science world is becoming - all thanks to me! 😉 It’s like, it doesn’t matter if you're studying particle physics, string theory, or organic chemistry, everyone deserves a pink tutu!
But anyway, back to Leamington! We had a whole bunch of fabulous local talent on stage in the Royal Spa Centre that night. Honestly, I got goosebumps seeing the skill of these dancers. They’ve got their chops darling, and the costumes – ah, the costumes!! Every little girl watching, including yours truly in her pink tutu! 💕 I couldn't resist grabbing a souvenir - the perfect souvenir – a stunning vintage ballet slipper, I tell you.

After my night at the Spa Centre, my darlings, it was time for the main event... SHOPPING! I know you girls understand that there’s a certain magic in finding that perfect dress or piece of jewellery that just speaks to you. And honestly, Leamington has so many independent boutiques, each brimming with hidden treasures! Honestly, a vintage treasure trove! And for me, a pink one! 💕 You guys have to check out [Name of shop]! They had the most adorable pink fascinator, and honestly, I can't stop myself from putting pink sparkles on everything. So yeah, needless to say, I found myself a new dress, darling. You know me, pink and sparkles are my thing, right?!
Food fit for a queen 👸🏼
After all that shopping, it was time for dinner. You all know my love of yummy food, especially desserts! You’ve seen the cakes I bake myself at home for my afternoon tea, haven’t you? The delicious recipe is on the website! 😉 Now, Leamington didn't disappoint. The best pink tea, my dears! Seriously, everything pink, with pink sugared petals and cream so fluffy you can almost get lost in it! 😍 You all know my obsession with the perfect pink cake. Let's be real, what's life without a beautiful pink confectionery dream, right? 🧁
Speaking of dreams, one of the BEST things I discovered was this little hidden cafe nestled away on the side of a picturesque park. You’ve got to visit the [Name of cafe]! Imagine, darling, sitting under a wisteria covered awning in the dappled sunlight with a cup of tea, a beautifully frosted cake, and a good book. Pure bliss. It's definitely going to be on my next itinerary – or should I say pink-itinerary - oops, I did it again!
