Hello my lovely, fabulous friends! Pink Tutu Sparkles here, ready to whisk you away to a new adventure! Today I'm buzzing with excitement, because, as you know, I just love a good train journey - a bit of chitter- chatter with fellow passengers, a scrumptious lunch, maybe even a sneaky little snooze - all part of the travel magic! This time, the journey took me north to the lovely seaside town of Crosby, and let me tell you, this little trip had my pink tutu twirling with delight!
Now, you know I love a bit of glam, right? And what's more glamorous than a fabulous, sparkly, pink tutu? And the one I wore for my Crosby escapade? Absolutely sensational! It had the most glorious ruffles and a shimmery pink fabric that caught the light in every direction. It's my go-to tutu for big events, but let's face it, a good pink tutu is perfect for any occasion!
Speaking of big events, you know how much I love me a good show, whether it's the grand theatre, a local cabaret, or even a fabulous ballet class. And Crosby delivered! My trip coincided with the amazing "Coastal Carnivale," and let me tell you, the crowds were out in full force, and everyone seemed to be rocking a bit of pink in their outfits, making this Tutu Queen feel right at home!
But first, I couldn’t resist a quick peek at the Anthony Gormley sculptures dotted along the shore – a beautiful, thought-provoking sight, and absolutely perfect for a little impromptu photo shoot. After all, a fabulous queen like me always has to document these adventures for her adoring fans!
My main mission was the "Carnivale," which was like a whirlwind of colour, music, and of course, dancing. I caught a fantastic show by the "Sea Sirens," a group of incredible aerial acrobats who wowed the audience with their daring feats and graceful movements. They had this fabulous mermaid theme going on – sparkles, shimmer, and an under-the-sea feel that definitely tickled my pink-loving soul!
There was also a dazzling performance from the “Coastline Queens”, local drag acts who all put on such a fantastic, heartfelt show - they were really engaging the audience and having a whale of a time! It's a joy to watch others share their passion and talent like that, it reminds me of why I started performing!
And what would a seaside carnival be without some delicious food, right? I savored a delightful crab sandwich with a side of chips - so scrumptious! And the ice cream I devoured while watching a ballet-themed busker twirl and jump? Heaven!
While in Crosby, I couldn't resist a visit to the local dance studio, "Dance with Grace," to indulge in a ballet class. Now, you know how much I adore ballet! The grace and fluidity, the intricate movements, the artistry… it’s like magic on stage! The class was packed with budding young ballerinas, each with their own hopes and dreams. It’s always inspiring to be surrounded by so much passion, and I had the opportunity to share a little bit of my experience, giving a mini talk to the group on my journey from a young dancer to a full-fledged Pink Tutu Queen!
Crosby had such a friendly atmosphere, everyone seemed so welcoming. I had such a fabulous time – exploring the vibrant seaside promenade, soaking up the sunshine, sharing a few smiles and even some glittery pink magic.
After a fab day out, I knew there was only one way to conclude my Crosby trip: a glorious trip home, with a comfy window seat and my thoughts swirling with plans for my next big adventure! Maybe I'll find a cute new pink tutu to bring along – one that’s super glitzy! After all, you can never have too much pink, right?
