Cumbernauld by Train!
I absolutely love travelling by train, especially when I get to sit by the window and watch the world go by. The views from this train journey were simply breathtaking, fields full of sunflowers, adorable fluffy lambs and even a glimpse of the ancient, rugged Highlands. But before you know it, I was in Cumbernauld, a charming town known for its iconic "Cumbernauld Shopping Centre", the first in the whole of the UK!
Pink Perfection in Cumbernauld!
Now, I might be a little biased, but you just canât go wrong with a bit of pink, especially in Cumbernauld! The locals seemed to appreciate a bit of âpink-tasticâ in their lives. While walking through town, I even found this adorable pink phone box! Honestly, if you canât find a phone box in this day and age, a pink one, at that, I just donât know what to tell you!
Let's Talk Tutus!
For todayâs performance, I decided to unleash my inner "Swan Lake", or should I say, Pink Swan Lake! A flowing, fabulous pink tulle number that was not only absolutely stunning but made my every twirl a little more majestic. And trust me, I did plenty of twirling!
Finding My Inner Sparkle in Cumbernauld
I have to admit, it wasnât all tulle and pink glittery high heels! My performance tonight took me to the amazing Cumbernauld Theatre. If you've never experienced this little gem of a venue, youâre missing out! There was this fantastic vibe about the whole place. I saw so many enthusiastic faces in the crowd, they were really up for some fabulous fun, all dressed to the nines in their best party gear. They just oozed excitement.
My Stage Show!
Okay, darlings, you want to hear about the show! So, first off, I think itâs only fair I admit it took a lot more practice and sequins than I originally planned. I wanted a performance that truly embodied the essence of Cumbernauld, its heart, its humour and that lovely mix of old and new. So I decided on a bit of âAuld Lang Syneâ, and well, I took the opportunity to re-arrange it just a bit for a fabulous fun feel, just like that! I then channeled all the wonderful history I was learning in the form of a âCumbernauld Storyâ. Oh, and to make the night extra special, I sprinkled in a little bit of my brand of magic, of course, all about pink and sparkle. Oh, how those sequined tutus flew! It was an epic adventure that blended a little ballet with a whole lot of glitter, some magic and of course, a healthy dose of Pink Tutu Sparkles charm.
Sharing The Love - Itâs Not Just About the Pink Tutu
Remember what I always say? My aim in life isn't just to convince the whole world to wear a pink tutu, but to spread love, laughter and of course, a little bit of sparkle. I want everyone to embrace their inner fabulousness, no matter what! Weâre all stars! Thatâs why I made a point to interact with everyone, whether it was a little chat, a photo, a quick "how do you like my outfit," or a giggle with a few little children. Itâs about bringing everyone together!
After Party!
After the show, I joined the rest of the crowd at The *, this amazing little bar right on town centre! We laughed, we talked, we shared stories, we reminisced, and I even did a little impromptu pink tutu shimmy! My goodness, the crowd just went wild! I swear, sometimes I can't believe this is my job. It's truly a dream come true. And trust me, this is not the last time Iâm going to visit Cumbernauld. I feel like it has so much more to offer!
