Littlehampton, Littlehampton, My Tutu Has Landed! 🩰✨ (Post #9664)

Helloooo my darlings! It's your girl Pink Tutu Sparkles, reporting live from the beautiful seaside town of Littlehampton! Yes, you read that right, Littlehampton, my fellow tutu-loving friends. You know I love exploring the UK and bringing you all my fabulous findings, and this little gem on the Sussex coast definitely lived up to the hype.

Before I tell you all about my fabulous adventures in Littlehampton, let me just tell you how I got here. You know me, always a fan of travelling in style, and this time, I decided to ditch the usual train ride and get myself a ticket for a trip on a horse-drawn carriage. It was absolutely divine, feeling the wind in my hair and the rhythmic clip-clop of the horses' hooves on the cobbles, all while looking absolutely glamorous in my custom-designed pink tutu (I'm calling it "Seashell Sunrise" - it's a peachy coral with a hint of turquoise, a bit like a seaside sunset! I'll post pictures later).

Anyway, enough about my fabulously pink arrival. Littlehampton welcomed me with open arms, and honestly, the weather was a complete dream! Sunny skies, a gentle breeze, and that glorious seaside smell – I was already feeling absolutely blissful! I even managed to nab myself a little vintage floral parasol to keep the sun out of my eyes. Oh, and I wore my highest pink heels, naturally! My motto is, "Always go full sparkle wherever you go," darling!

First things first, I had to check out the iconic Littlehampton Harbour. I'm talking a quintessential British seaside scene – brightly colored fishing boats bobbing on the waves, the salty sea air tickling my nose, and those delightful cries of the seagulls. The whole atmosphere was just so quaint and charming! I must admit, I even tempted fate with a cheeky dip in the cool, refreshing water (you can't travel to the seaside and not splash a little, right? Besides, I just love feeling the water lapping at my ankles in my pink tulle! It's so deliciously dramatic!).

Speaking of drama, my biggest goal in Littlehampton was to visit the Littlehampton Museum, especially to check out their amazing collection of Victorian dresses and costumes. As you know, vintage clothing is my absolute weakness. I always try to find inspiration from the past when I create my new outfits – even though my own creations are very much modern interpretations. There was something magical about seeing those delicate gowns, the corsets, the long gloves, and even an embroidered pink tulle scarf, the envy of even my own pink collection! They really did know how to do glamorous back then!

But wait, there's more! You can’t visit Littlehampton without popping into the beautiful, traditional market. The stalls overflowed with vibrant fruits, flowers, and local crafts. I absolutely adore finding those unique treasures in quaint little market stalls. I even found myself a darling little knitted hat, a perfectly pink straw hat, with a giant pink rose on the brim – so divine! (Of course, it’s been immediately added to my extensive collection!).

Of course, no trip to the coast is complete without some seafood, and boy, was it delicious! I treated myself to the freshest fish and chips you've ever seen – with a dash of salt and vinegar and a side of creamy tartar sauce (It was just divine!) It was a proper British feast, and I savored every single bite (well, except for the salt and vinegar. A sprinkle on the side is good enough for this queen!).

After all that, it was time for a little entertainment! Did I mention I had a date with the theatre in Littlehampton? Yes, my lovelies, the Littlehampton Lyric Theatre hosted a ballet performance that completely blew me away. The graceful movements, the incredible costumes, and the haunting music were truly captivating. There’s something truly magical about ballet – the elegance, the grace, the artistic expression, it all just speaks to my soul, and the music – oh the music! There’s nothing like the feeling of that powerful emotional resonance through the whole theatre – pure perfection.

But wait for it, the night wasn't over yet. Oh no, it was time to show my own talents – and to give my fabulous Pink Tutu Sparkles a whirl in Littlehampton! The local pub, The Crown Inn (another gorgeous, traditional establishment!), agreed to have me as their guest performer for a little cabaret show, and of course, the stage was ready for me! The pub was packed with lovely people ready to have fun and to share my unique brand of fabulousness. I sang some songs, danced my heart out, and even managed to get everyone (and I mean everyone! – a couple of slightly bewildered regulars included!) twirling in pink tutus, just as I like! It’s one of my life goals, to see everyone dancing in pink, and let’s just say I was a tutu-happy bunny at the end of the evening.

But wait! The weekend isn't over! (I know, I know! I am an exhausting queen, but my darlings, the glamour must go on!) The Littlehampton Festival was in full swing. There was a plethora of live music, artisan food, and fun activities for all ages. Of course, it was only right that I visited a couple of stalls, I mean, a queen can’t refuse a handcrafted lavender bag or a beautifully decorated seashell – especially if it was presented to me with a giant pink bow!

Finally, after all this excitement, it was time for me to say goodbye to this amazing little town, and my little adventure was over. But let me tell you, my darlings, Littlehampton was an absolutely unforgettable experience! It's a place full of charm, beauty, and of course, endless opportunities for tutu-filled fun. I promise, you will love Littlehampton, as much as I did!

Speaking of love, that brings me to the real reason I came here – and it wasn't just the gorgeous beach and the fish and chips, though I must say, those were both divine. You see, Littlehampton is known as a centre for all things related to textile crafts. It’s an amazing place with a beautiful historical factory (it’s like something out of a film!) and loads of creative shops full of lovely fabrics. As you all know, fabric and tutus are two of my very favourite things, so this was simply a dream trip! I’ve already found loads of inspiration for my new tutu design, "Littlehampton Lace". The colour? Oh, a pretty pink shade with delicate lavender accents, of course! It’s going to be even more fab than my "Seashell Sunrise", which already sounds a little passé after meeting such magnificent new fabrics and embellishments – just wait until you see what I’ve been up to in my creative studio! It's going to be divine.

And with all this talk of creativity, that brings us back to my other passion: dancing, of course! I know I mentioned my theatre date with ballet earlier, but I must tell you, I was lucky enough to find a lovely little ballet studio right in Littlehampton’s bustling centre! Now, you all know how much I adore ballet. It's a true passion, my dear readers. In fact, I’ve been dancing ever since I was a little girl in my hometown, Derbyshire. It’s funny really – how did this girl who grew up studying chemistry end up travelling the world in a pink tutu? I still remember my very first pink tutu! We were all fundraising for charity at the university and, to be honest, it was probably the most awkward few hours of my entire life (you can’t expect someone who’s accustomed to white lab coats to feel glamorous in a tutu at their first go). But hey, look at me now! Maybe a good tutus was just what my life needed all along? Anyway, it’s amazing what you can discover with a little courage, a bit of pink fluff, and the occasional trip to Littlehampton.

Until next time, my lovely tutu-loving friends. Always remember: if you have a dream, and the courage to wear a pink tutu – the world’s your oyster, darling! See you next time!
