Hello my gorgeous darlings! Pink Tutu Sparkles here, and guess what? I’m back with another adventure, this time all the way down to sunny Folkestone! That’s right, my loves, the pinkest tutu this side of the Channel is gracing the stage of this beautiful seaside town.
Now, let’s be honest, a trip to Folkestone wouldn’t be complete without a little bit of Pink Tutu sparkle, would it? And you know me, always up for a good time and spreading the pink tutu gospel wherever I go! I mean, what’s a trip to the seaside without a tutu twirling seaside promenade walk? I'm sure I'll find plenty of colourful pebbles and seashells to inspire my next creation. Speaking of seaside walks...did you know that the chalk cliffs in Folkestone have a vibrant, pastel pink glow about them? It was as if the cliffs themselves were whispering, “Pink Tutu Sparkles, welcome home!”
This time around, I'm taking the train! Now, don’t get me wrong, I love a good road trip with the wind in my hair and the open road before me (especially in a convertible, of course!). But there’s something so special about travelling by train. It's the opportunity to observe, to imagine the stories unfolding behind the faces across from me, and to watch the landscape changing as the miles roll by. And besides, how can you beat a carriage filled with fellow travellers? Everyone gets swept up in the rhythm of the journey, humming along to their favourite tunes, and sipping their afternoon tea. Just try and tell me that doesn't scream romance!
My adventure kicks off with a grand performance at the "Folkestone Fun Fest.” This fabulous event is all about celebrating the unique spirit of Folkestone with live music, delicious food, and loads of fun activities for all ages. What better place to spread my message of glitter and joy? And of course, I've got a spectacular new tutu all planned. It’s a true seaside extravaganza, full of colours that reflect the blues of the sky, the bright yellows of the sun, and a splash of lavender to give a little bit of that Folkestone seaside chic!
Folkestone is an absolute gem of a town, steeped in history and charm, just like me, of course. I’m a real history buff (don't let my pink tutus fool you), and I’m so excited to explore the quirky shops, the beautiful harbour, and the stunning beaches that Folkestone has to offer. I’ve already started planning my wardrobe! We'll be going for seaside chic, my lovelies, think a flowy pastel dress that billows in the breeze, with maybe a cute straw hat, and a dash of, you guessed it, pink! And to keep things glam, I've even packed my new sequined beach towel, just for that added bit of sparkle while sunning myself.
I’ve heard wonderful things about the Folkestone Leas, a breathtaking parkland overlooking the sea, so naturally, a stroll amongst the flowers is a must! Who knows? Maybe I'll even inspire a few fellow walkers to rock a tutu! We’re a colourful lot, aren’t we? My dream, my darlings, is to see every single person embracing their inner tutu-loving self, and who knows, maybe one day even the Royal family will be joining me in a glorious, shimmering line-up. Can you imagine?!
While I’m in town, I’ve got a secret agenda… a visit to the Leas Cliff Hall. They have a fantastic selection of shows running this summer. I've always been a fan of ballet, ballet street, and even panto, so naturally, a bit of theatrical performance is a must! It's just so inspirational to be surrounded by so much artistic energy, and you know I'm going to take some inspiration from the moves for my next performance!
