Hello my darling tutu-loving angels! ? It’s Pink Tutu Sparkles here, ready to dazzle you with my latest adventures, all from the magical world of tutus, glitter and…Beckenham! That’s right, my lovelies, I'm taking my sparkle and sass to the suburbs!
You know how much I adore exploring new places, and a train journey, followed by a jaunt to a quaint, bustling town, well, that's pure Pink Tutu magic! Especially when it involves a performance under the Beckenham stars! ? The sound of my high heels clicking on the pavement and the twinkling fairy lights just put me in a joyful mood. It's like I'm walking straight into a fairytale!
Now, you might be wondering: how did I get all the way to Beckenham? Well, you see, my lovelies, my life as a drag artist is one big exciting adventure! As a rule, my travel is all about making memories. Trains? Oh, I'm a regular seasoned traveler on those iron horses! (Don't worry, I'm not actually on horseback! But I wouldn't say no to a good gallop in a shimmering pink tutu... maybe for my next trip!) ?
And when I say my travels are all about making memories, I mean every single one of them! Each train ride, each stop along the way, each bustling street, every charming cafe…they all contribute to the dazzling world that is Pink Tutu Sparkles.
Speaking of my enchanting travel adventures, my very first trip outside my hometown, way back when, was with the university ballet club to…hold onto your feather boas…The Royal Opera House! ? It was truly a life-changing experience. I even had my first tutu moment there! It happened during a charity event where we sold tutu accessories to raise funds.
Don't ask me why, but trying on one of those fluffy pink tutus just sent a sparkly, magical thunderbolt right through my heart. It was love at first tulle! ❤️ My scientific brain was hooked; I knew I had found my destiny. The world needed a pink tutu queen, and it needed one in all her gloriously extravagant pinkness!
From that point on, my love affair with tutus blossomed into a full-blown passionate love! ? But being a tutu queen isn’t all about dancing on stage. It's also about celebrating everything girly! From shimmering pink dresses and gorgeous ballet flats, to endless hours spent with my favourite vintage stores and local boutiques. ?
There's just something magical about a vintage shop that's stuffed full of beautiful gowns and vintage jewelry… especially when you discover a pair of gorgeous silk gloves to go with your latest outfit! Oh, how I love browsing through racks upon racks of tulle and silk. Shopping is the art of discovering the best bits for me. ?
For someone who works with fabric in the lab all day long, it’s a little slice of heaven when I get to dress up! It's as if my love for science and fashion just blend together in my world. Speaking of the lab, well…that's my day job! Yes, you heard right, Pink Tutu Sparkles is a bit of a secret identity by day. My scientist alter ego loves finding the most wonderful, softest and sparkliest fabrics for fashion design! ? That's right, I combine science with my fashion passion.
So there you have it! The life of Pink Tutu Sparkles is all about living a double life! One half a scientist discovering and testing fabric, and the other half a fabulously dazzling drag artist travelling around, performing and making everyone's day brighter! ?
Now, back to Beckenham. This town, it just vibrates with life and character! And what better way to make new friends than with my fabulous performances? ? After all, a good giggle is the best remedy for the daily hustle and bustle! The people of Beckenham, they’ve already got me hooked! So much warmth and cheer. I’ve even picked up a new favourite bakery! ?
And for this trip, you know I brought the good stuff, my darling lovelies! A sparkling pink tutu fit for a princess, complete with dazzling diamante embellishments. My sparkling tutu has a beautiful floaty feel to it, but you’ve gotta be careful how you move… you don’t want to end up tripping over the frills, especially in this fabulous outfit! But hey, even the most graceful of swans make a splash every now and again. ?
I just have this irresistible need to spread the tutu love everywhere I go! You never know how far your glitter might travel!
